Every post here starts from a public, verifiable source. I work with public, non‑paywalled data from institutions like the U.S. EIA, World Bank, UNCTAD, IMF and national statistics offices. The conclusions are drawn from what the numbers show, not from gut feeling. When the data is messy, I say so. When sources clash, I show both. If a headline doesn’t match the underlying data, I’ll walk you through why.

I follow the major newswires (Reuters, AP, Bloomberg, FT, Al Jazeera, etc.) to keep track of events, but the figures in my charts come from public institutional datasets, not from paid data vendors.

I’ll still get things wrong sometimes. When that happens, I correct the mistake in public and update the work. No shortcuts.

If you follow this account you won’t always get comforting answers, but you will get honest, evidence‑based ones.

This is a valid observation.

Electoral logic 101 - a vote FOR Party A is not automatically a vote AGAINST Party B. Voters choose based on local candidates, manifestos, caste equations, and incumbency.

DMK and AIADMK were competing against EACH OTHER on the same ballot. By Udhayanidhi and EPS’s logic, DMK votes were also anti-AIADMK and vice versa.

Claiming a combined anti-TVK mandate from two mutually opposing vote banks is not political analysis. It is narrative management to mask an uncomfortable electoral reality.

TVK emerged as single largest party in its very first election. That verdict speaks for itself.

I warmly congratulate my friend Vijay on being elected Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

For many years, his adoring fans watched him defeat corrupt politicians and assorted villains within three hours, usually after a short interval. The people of Tamil Nadu have now entrusted Vijay with a responsibility far greater than any role performed on screen. Oru Viral Puratchi — the “one-finger revolution” — is now on the cusp of creating history.

Malaysia and Tamil Nadu share deep historical, cultural and people-to-people ties across generations. I look forward to working closely with Chief Minister Vijay in the years ahead.
