@JuulMona I vores indkøb af militært udstyr til eget forsvar, bør vi se på hvordan det organiseres i Norge, det er de åbenlyst meget bedre til end Forsvarsministeriets Materiel- og Indkøbsstyrelse .
🔴 Another devastating world war?
🔴 The use of nuclear weapons?
🔴 A democratic depression?

THREAD 🧵
In 4 years, the West as we knew it, with her multiple post WWII and post 1989 institutions may no longer meaningfully exist.
Ukraine aside, also abandoning Taiwan means the West is willfully being drowned, militarily, technologically and strategically.
Dead in the water.
I do not see how Trump can be allowed to come to the G7 in Canada in June.
Never mind that we don't generally let convicted felons enter the country: how on earth do we "welcome" on our soil someone who is committed to wiping us off the map?
I'm not sure there's much point in the G7 even meeting, frankly. Trump's America is no longer an ally of the democracies. That should now be clear. It may not even be a full-service democracy for long.
The agenda for the other members — call them the G6 — should now be figuring out how to contain it.
Taiwan makes over 60% of the world’s semiconductors and over 90% of the highest-end chips. The US makes only 12%.
Yet the US dominates value-add in the semiconductor industry (38%) compared with Taiwan (11%) largely due to chip design.
This is old news to many of you. But it’s worth coming back to whenever there’s a discussion about manufacturing and industrial policy as a strategy for development.

It's easy to see what Trump is doing if you have read his book “The Art of the Deal”. His recent imposition of tariffs on Canadian imports reflects several negotiation strategies from his book.
1. **Use Leverage**: By imposing a 25% tariff on Canadian goods, Trump applies economic pressure on Canada regarding U.S. concerns about illegal immigration and drug trafficking.
2. **Fight Back**: The tariffs serve as economic confrontation to compel Canada to take action.
3. **Enhance Your Location**: As the U.S. is a major market for Canadian exports, tariffs exploit this position to influence policy.
4. **Deliver the Goods**: Implementing tariffs shows Trump's readiness to act, reinforcing his credibility in negotiations.
**Future Expectations if Trump follows his own advice:**
If we analyze Trump's negotiation style, here are potential future paths based on Canada's response:
1. **Escalate the Pressure (Playing Hardball)**:
- If Canada doesn't respond favorably, Trump might increase tariffs or expand them, and publicly criticize Canadian leaders.
2. **Make a Public Spectacle (Control the Narrative)**:
- Trump could make bold public statements claiming victory or accusing Canada of unfairness, possibly staging a high-profile negotiation event.
3. **Signal Willingness to Make a Deal (Creating the Illusion of Flexibility)**:
- Despite aggression, Trump might leave negotiation room to secure better terms, offering a new trade deal.
4. **Declare Victory Regardless of Outcome**:
- Minor concessions from Canada could be spun as a massive win, or if Canada resists, Trump could blame them for any fallout.
5. **Use Tariffs as Leverage in Broader Political Play**:
- Tariffs might be linked to issues like border security or military alliances, or Trump could wait for economic pressure to force negotiations.
In summary, Trump's next moves will depend on Canada's response. Resistance might lead to escalation; openness might prompt a face-saving deal. His strategy will aim to maintain narrative control and appear dominant, core to "The Art of the Deal."
Great. Just great. No hand on the Bible.
Melania tried to get it close to him but Roberts and Trump didn't notice.
Now we get 4 more years of people saying he's not President, and 4 more years of people saying he's the AntiChrist.
