Year 11 geographers are at the coast today completing their GCSE fieldwork day. First stop: Flamborough Head. The sun is shining, the tide is in and the waves are wild! @Blue_Wollaton

This week it’s the turn of our GCSE geographers to head out on fieldwork.

We managed to squeeze in a trip to visit the new Central Library exhibition ‘Speak Her Name’ too

More fieldwork today as students used lichen as a bio indicator to determine air quality

Year 7 returned to school to reflect on their day. @LhistoryMs awarded some of our @Blue_Wollaton PROUD stickers for some wonderful work during her enrichment session. The perfect finish to a wonderful day of adventure

Some groups were even lucky enough to have a tour of Wollaton Hall led by the curator.

Year 7 also managed to find caterpillars and wolf spiders during their sweep net activity down by the Cow Pond. Even the deer came to have a closer look!
