Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus
We were fortunate enough to be in Aberystwyth for 🏴 Parêd Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Aberystwyth 2026 🏴 yesterday. A wonderful day of celebrations - but don’t take our word for it… why are you proud to be Welsh? #VoicesMatter 🏴 https://t.co/LYV28aDkIr

Fantastic meet up for the Winifred Atwell’s blue plaque unveiling with @EnglishHeritage . We supported student research and presentations (couldn’t be prouder) and collected a range of voices. An immersive map of Winifred’s life coming soon! #VoicesMatter#YoungVoicesMatter
Such an awesome opportunity to represent @VoicesProject_ in working with @EnglishHeritage to share Winifred Atwell’s story with students over the past month. Student representatives spoke so eloquently today at her blue plaque unveiling. #GeographyTeacher#HistoryTeacher
We have had a fantastic time working with students in London over the past two weeks with @EnglishHeritage, we hope to have something exciting to share in October… #StudentVoicesMatter
Wonderful to see Akhera’s experiences in making change from school to today. Really inspirational for the students involved who were asked to consider what they could do and how they could do it. Including students own voices in school sustainable planning is crucia #VoicesMatter
Wonderful day working with student ambassadors @MAADRET today for their Green Day #SustainableDRET. Our ambassadors learnt from @VoicesProject_’s Akhera about how to become a future change maker. They conducted a hero’s journey starting with their call to action as a climate change and sustainability hero, before trialing dioramas of utopian and dystopian futures to teach our Year 5 visitors. We even had a vegan and vegetarian taster menu at lunch. What a wonderful day!
It was so good to be involved in the Why voices matter now chapter. Look forward to sharing some of the work we have been doing more widely. Real team effort on this.
Exciting email today...
What is Geography Teaching, Now? publishes soon. I'm super excited to see my chapter 'Environmental Education: An Integrated Approach' in print soon!
Even better that my friend, @CMOGeography, is in the same publication ✨️
Thank you, @GeogMum@Jennnnnn_x
Great working with youth engagement @EnglishHeritage on a project for early next year. Empowering students to see that they have agency in nominating people with significant impact within their own communities. Platforming voices.
Wonderful day supporting KPI revision in schools, being present at the wonderful Caribbean Cuisine -Superdiverse Ladywood teacher toolkit launch @unibirmingham@The_GA, and an evening with English Heritage @EnglishHeritage talking next @VoicesProject_ ideas.
Lovely to share ideas to enable students to find their own voice, actively listen to the voices of others and include authentic voice and student involvement in curriculum planning @The_GA#TeachMeet.
Loved taking part in @EnglishHeritage Reverberate 2024 Share Event with some really interesting projects. Kick the dust @NorfolkMuseums, The Ladder Redruth’s Fogou visit, @assemblagecoll1 portrait miniatures, Blackpool Community Darkroom visits and photography. Check them out!
Some really interesting sessions for those London based. #Geographyteacher#Migration#EnglishTeacher London Migration Film Festival 2024 — Migration Collective https://t.co/Me2Gzg5e8L

Do you include voices in your fieldwork? Do you collect in-depth open ended small group questions? Enabling people to be comfortable and honest about their thoughts and feeling. #100Ideas#GeographyTeacher#Fieldwork
Can’t wait to listen to such a variety of speakers. Thank you for organising. We’re very much excited to be sharing how VoicesProject can support oral geographies and rich data collection about place.
