Eight years ago, two young Latine Bronxites held each other to celebrate the greatest political upset to date.
Eight years later, we’re back. Breaking records from 10k+ petition signatures to turning out a commanding ~87% of the vote.
Honored to serve as your Field Director.
What a night in NYC!
First, I want to deeply thank the people of NY14, who supported my re-election with 87% of the vote - the highest in my history of public service.
It is a tremendous honor and responsibility to be your Congresswoman, and I never take it for granted.
On Saturday, CIR Regional Vice President Dr. Joey Botros attended a Union Day of Action in the Bronx hosted by Rep. @AOC and Asm. @KarinesReyes87.
The event brought together six unions and trained 50 rank-and-file union members on electoral tactics and organizing.
News: @AOC raised over $4m in Q1 of 2026, so far leading all House members including Speaker Johnson.
Over 114,550 individual donors in the past three months alone with an average donation of just $16.
We are a people-powered campaign. $0 from corporate PAC or lobbyist money.
Yesterday I had the honor of filing the community signatures necessary to submit my candidacy for re-election.
It was the highest number of signatures we have ever received across the Bronx and Queens.
I am so grateful for the care and support of our neighbors. Thank you ❤️
Being endorsed by @WorkingFamilies is deeply meaningful. It shows everyone that you are trusted to move us closer to a better future where working people come first.
I’m incredibly proud that the @NYWFP is supporting @ReynosoBrooklyn, who is a true — and proven — champion.
@sanbenito made history tonight.
The first Spanish-language album to win Album of the Year — rooted in our language, our culture, our stories. This is for everyone who has been told to tone it down or translate themselves.
Felicidades Benito, gracias por llevarnos contigo. 🇵🇷🏆
I have been honored to call the Working Families Party my political home for 25 years. NY-10 has the most @NYWFP voters in not only the city, but also the state. The district has been a pivotal space for the growth of WFP.
I promise to always put working people first - not billionaires. New Yorkers deserve representation that supports their best interests, not the interests of the wealthy few.
With the help of my friends at WFP, I will continue to fight for better wages, safe and affordable homes, and equal rights for our neighbors.
Today, New York City subway and bus fares rose from $2.90 to $3.
I spent the evening riding the only free bus in the city, the Q70, to hear what a fare free ride has meant for New Yorkers.
What was clear right away was the relief this one bus line gives working class New Yorkers.
Imagine if every bus felt like this.
It was an honor to break bread with our Mayor-elect @ZohranKMamdani over some of the best momos Jackson Heights has to offer. 🥟
From childcare to rent, New York should be affordable and safe for working families. Let’s get to work! 💪🏽
Felicidades to my father, Mayor Guillermo Nurse, on winning his re-election in North Carolina. The first Afro-Latino in the state to hold this position and first Black Mayor of his city. Proud of you pops!
On the campaign trail with just a few more hours before history is made
You still have time to vote for both of us on the WFP line and be a part of it
Let's go!!
@ZohranKMamdani
This is nothing more than a continuation of the president’s desperate weaponization of our justice system.
I am not fearful — I am fearless.
We will fight these baseless charges aggressively, and my office will continue to fiercely protect New Yorkers and their rights.
The evidence couldn’t be clearer: Donald Trump’s choice in this race is Andrew Cuomo.
Trump is trying to buy this election for his billionaire donors — and Andrew Cuomo is on board with the program.
It’s time to unite behind @ZohranKMamdani to protect NYC from Donald Trump.
The @bronxdems are all in for @ZohranKMamdani!
Great to join New Yorkers in the Bronx this morning to support electing the next leader of our great city.
I did a rent freeze and almost 2 million hard-working New Yorkers benefited.
@ZohranKMamdani wants to do a rent freeze.
You know who doesn’t want to do a rent freeze?
@andrewcuomo, and he thinks he can trick us into forgetting that.
Cuomo either has a memory problem or a lying problem.
He can’t remember the last time he spoke to Trump, went to a mosque, edited the COVID reports, or touched women without their consent.
He thinks he has a memory problem.
We know he has a lying problem.
