@AllisonPearson There’s been water flowing down our street for over 2 weeks day and night without repair and now Thames Water is telling us they’ve imposed a hosepipe ban .. didn’t realise they’d already implemented their repair one ..
@CharlieMoloney Not only a genuine deficit of reporting but a rich stream of interesting narratives that’s cheap to mine. The legal system is one of Britain’s most valued contributors to the economy that retains high international regard (sadly can’t be said to describe many sectors these days)
The Memorial Service for infected blood victims taking place at St Paul's Cathedral today will be an important moment for the infected blood community to come together, to remember loved ones and to reflect on a scandal we hope is never inflicted on British citizens again.
Such determination, resilience and community spirit in the room last night at Corby residents meeting. The gathering was to discuss the ongoing problems of Corby as a "Toxic Town" - Council pronouncements that there are no risks to residents are simply not washing.
Today’s statement to the House by Paymaster General Nick Thomas-Symonds about an extra £1bn in funding for those affected by the infected blood scandal is clearly very welcome news.
@JanisSharp Omg - I am so upset to hear this. I had no idea she was unwell. Sending so much love and condolences to you Wilson, and your family. I am so glad you were with her to the end. She was a brave compassionate woman, talented and determined. Be so proud of her through your sadness
@JohnRentoul His focus on environment: emission charges/floating bus stops/cycle lane clogging Park Ln tho one already runs parallel in Hyde Park, over day-to-day frustrations of Londoners: shoplifting mugging faredodging burglary cost of tube/bus fares) reduces popularity - sticks no carrots
