My entire channel is about equity markets, investing, building wealth, and how to get ahead in life financially.
Yet people are shocked that I have strong opinions against those who despise wealth, want to implement punitive wealth taxes, want to demonize any successful company, want to demonize any successful investor or entrepreneur, and try to create an "us vs them" attitude.
Even if i'm not the one being taxed, I can clearly see it's a bad idea to allow a small number of politicians the ability to confiscate the wealth of people at some arbitrary number. Yes, it's targeted at 'billionaires', I know. In 1913, when the income tax was first introduced, it started at 1% for the lowest bracket and 7% for the highest bracket. Now, I pay an effective income tax rate of over 30%.
Don't be mistaken, if wealth taxes get passed they will rapidly move down from billionaires to every day people who saved for retirment. Slippery slope is not a logical fallacy, It literally happens all the time.
Then the counterparty they bought it off converted the Rupees back into USD via the Forward Rate Agreement they bought at the same time the Rupee for Oil agreement was negotiated.
If you think the counterparties here are holding all these dog shit currencies after they sell the oil you're an idiot. They're coverting back into USD immediately but only publicising one side of the trade in order to push BRICS propaganda.
It's so transparently fricken obvious.
The "leaders" in Congress decided to combined disaster relief for Maui with an extra $24 billion in funding for Ukraine.
That means members of Congress who oppose more funding for Ukraine (there are many) would have to vote NO on disaster relief for Maui if they want to also block Ukraine war funding. This puts them in a lousy no win voting situation.
Biden (Dem) and McCarthy (GOP) refuse to separate the two funding issues because they know war funding for Ukraine is losing support. The only war to continue to fund the meat grinder is to link it to Maui disaster relief funding.
I’ve been thinking about the new viral song “Rich Men North of Richmond.”
You’ve all heard it so I won’t post lyrics
Compare lyrics to an equally popular song from when my gen was young (1986)
