@Dave__Chambers@DrHuw@B_G_Gruff@Keir_Starmer I have read it. You choose to glibly ignore 5 deaths that the coroner has indicated concerns about? In relation to industrial action being a potentially contributing factor to death?
@DrDanGreaves @DrNickDalmon @Keir_Starmer Yes, there are coroners reports, and all the reports into strikes acknowledge that wide harm will have been caused although difficult to detect in hospital mortality data. You know this & it saddens me a Dr would wish to gaslight.
@DrDanGreaves @DrNickDalmon @Keir_Starmer No, it depends on skill. A critical scan being delayed or results not being checked can cause harm/ death. The task of ordering the scan or escalating results to a consultant isn't complex, but fewer People on shift will mean it takes longer.
@implausibleblog What you think this 'doctor' who knows from coroners reports that patients will die from the strike & will lead it anyway, for a spuriously calculated pay level from over a decade before he even started medical school, has more credibility than someone concerned for patients?
@DrDanGreaves @DrNickDalmon @Keir_Starmer Only anaesthetists have tried to tell me patients won't suffer harm. Anaesthetics is particularly consultant involved, perhaps that shapes your perception. But there will be significant delays to time critical diagnosis and treatment. That will be on your conscience, not mine.
@DrDanGreaves @DrNickDalmon @Keir_Starmer If you honestly think that patients will only be inconvenienced then the only thing we will be able to agree on is that the BMA cherry pick 'facts'.
@DrDanGreaves @DrNickDalmon @Keir_Starmer The way I look it it is if there is clearly cherry picking, clearly spin, putting patients at risk cannot be justified.
It's irresponsible and demonstrates that the BMA has no care towards patients.
@DrPhilBanfield Was that for a decorator in training, did they have to run their work by a consultant decorator?
Did you check how much they were earning in 2008 & calculate what their pay should be now, if the economy had grown at the same rate as 2008?
If not, why not, surely exploitation?
@theipaper@wesstreeting Palestine Action are rightly proscribed.
But they have caused less actual harm to the public than the BMA
Time for leadership to protect the public from an activist captured organisation intent on disruption.
Make NHS doctor strikes illegal.
