If Portugal must help Cristiano Ronaldo win the World Cup, Cristiano must step out of the way of that. That's the elephant in the room. As expected (by sane football fans), he was a passenger.
Amazing!!! ❤️

Aren’t they so wonderful? 👏👏
Kwankwaso’s ONLY crime against the Republicans is his patriotic condemnation of Trump’s threats to attack his country. If you are looking for the opposite of a religious extremist, Kwankwaso is one.
Kwankwaso lost election in 2003 because of his reluctance to implement Sharia in Kano. His implementation was seen as hapharzard by the fanatics, who promoted Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau’s candidacy.
When Shekarau defeated Kwankwaso, he re-implemented Sharia in Kano, recruited thousands of Hisbah personnel and re-kitted them towards full implementation of Shariah.
If implementation of Sharia in Nigeria were a crime, a former governor of Zamfara, Ahmed Sani Yarima, should not only appear in the list, but top the list.

You can actually hold brief for @KwankwasoRM and it’s within your rights to do, I don’t think you need to be ashamed of doing that
First of all you are from Kano State
Secondly @KwankwasoRM was your Governor
Thirdly @KwankwasoRM is a prominent Northern and Nigerian leader not withstanding the fact that I am not particularly his fan
It is very important that you all Northerners in this T-Pain regime should read the hand writing on the wall, collect whatever they give you because it’s your money and not the family inheritance of T-Pain but shine your eyes
The T-Pain you are aggressively defending today for obvious reasons will leave the stage and you will be left with your conscience many years from now
If there was a functioning government in Nigeria by now @YusufTuggar should be summoning the @USinNigeria but T-Pain has sold our sovereignty for his self preservation
All this display of low self esteem will not make the nepotistic and kleptocratic regime leaders like you, they will use you and dump you
You can take this to the bank
Be proud of yourself, your culture, religion and heritage and above all read the clear signs on the wall
LIVE: Today at the barricades in solidarity with the organizers of electoral reforms who insist on electronic transmission of results by the 10 National Assembly members.
How they report christian killings vs how they report when muslims are killed.
The Kwara killings don’t fit the genocide propaganda so they removed the victims’ religion from the headline.
Never stop exposing their hypocrisy.
The painful truth about Northern Nigeria must be spoken with honesty, courage, and deep love for our region.
Despite our vast human and natural resources, our greatest challenge has never been potential. It has been leadership, from the grassroots to the very top, and equally our collective attitude toward how we choose that leadership. Too often, we have accepted leaders who serve themselves rather than a clear Northern agenda. To be frank, there is no coherent Northern project. There is no shared long term blueprint that answers a simple question. Where do we want Northern Nigeria to be in 20, 30, or 50 years.
We also make a critical mistake by obsessing over who becomes president, as if the presidency alone will save us. The truth is simple. It does not matter where the president comes from. What matters is whether there is a clearly defined Northern blueprint that any president, from any region, must align with and support. Without our own vision, even a Northern president will change nothing. With a strong blueprint, any president can be engaged, negotiated with, and held accountable to support the development of a greater Northern Nigeria.
We must stop recycling the same political elites who have contributed nothing to the growth of our region. Experience without results is not leadership. Anyone seeking political office must be an advocate and an enabler of a clear Northern development project. If they cannot articulate how they will advance security, education, industry, and human capital in measurable ways, then they should not be entrusted with power.
When we look at other regions, especially the Southwest, the contrast is striking. The Southwest operates with a deliberate blueprint. Development there is intentional. Everyone is a stakeholder, from political leaders to professionals, academics, civil society, and the private sector. The results are visible. Today, the Southwest is one of the fastest growing regions not only in Nigeria but in West Africa. This progress did not happen by chance. It happened through planning, continuity, and accountability.
In the North, election cycles have replaced long term vision. During elections, money is shared, short term relief is offered, and people are made to smile temporarily. Once elections are over, concern for real development disappears. There are no consistent performance indicators. There are no measurable outcomes. There is no sustained investment in security, industry, education, and human capital. This is why poverty and insecurity persist.
Yet this is not a message of despair. The North has good leaders. Where they are supported, they deliver. We must acknowledge that our state is fortunate to have Governor Babagana Zulum. His leadership shows what is possible when competence, integrity, courage, and genuine concern for the people guide governance. If leadership like his existed consistently from local government to state to regional coordination, the North would not be where it is today.
What we need now is awakening and responsibility. The years 2026 and 2027 must mark a turning point. Our people must understand that leadership choices shape destiny. We must demand leaders with vision, not handouts. Leaders with plans, not slogans. Leaders who believe in data, performance, security, and industrial growth.
We pray that the coming years bring clarity and courage. That Northerners rise not only to vote, but to think, to organize, and to insist on accountability. By doing so, we will rebuild our region and contribute meaningfully to the growth, stability, and prosperity of Nigeria as a whole.
