That was the central message from @Diplomat_Inno, an Internet governance advocate and digital rights champion, during the panel on "Shaping Uganda's Digital Future: Youth Voices on AI and Digital Governance."

Drawing from his experience across national, regional, and global Internet governance platforms, Innocent reminded participants that meaningful youth participation does not begin at the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF) or other international forums, but with understanding the conversations and policies taking shape here at home.

He challenged young people to move beyond simply attending events and instead become intentional learners.

"What have I learned today?"

According to Innocent, that is the question every participant should leave the Uganda Youth Internet Governance Forum asking themselves.
