On Heroes Day, Milton Advocates honours the brave men & women who sacrificed for Uganda’s freedom, peace & progress.
Your courage inspires us to uphold justice, the rule of law & a stronger society.
Let us recommit to building a more just & prosperous Uganda.
Colleagues, @ug_lawsociety, the council tenure extension (17-9-25 for 6 months) lapsed without elections or further extension! Where does this leave the status of ULS council? What’s the way forward?
Shouldn’t we walk the talk on Accountability in Governance that we preach?
Today, we celebrate the values that bring us together: faith, kindness, generosity, and humanity
As families gather in the spirit of Eid, may every act of sharing create hope, every prayer bring comfort, and every blessing multiply
Eid Mubarak 🌙🤍

@Counsel_Gabriel@norbertmao He clearly said, his wasn’t a numerical challenge but a moral one! Who are we to say otherwise. Many wouldn’t have even dared to challenge AAA! Give the man his flowers 💐 at-least for his, courage!
Despite knowing the tyranny of numbers, Hon. @norbertmao never backed down. He ran a disciplined and principled campaign for Speakership, & in the process, captured the hearts of many Ugandans, at a time when politics of principle has become a rare commodity. Maximum Respect. 🇺🇬
Despite the tyranny of numbers that overwhelmed us, we declare that ours was not a numerical challenge but a moral challenge. We took up a fight everyone was cowering from and faced attacks from many quarters including from friends blinded by short term considerations. Many counseled me to throw in the towel fearing the outcome of the ballot. When the counting started, one MP told me that due to strict partisan voting I would be lucky to get ten votes. I put my seat on the line by telling him that if I got less than ten votes I would resign from Parliament. That aside, despite the opposition we faced, the fight was worthwhile. Thanks to the power of outrage fueled by many patriots, Parliament can breathe again. Our collective efforts brought a gush of fresh air in Parliament.
I like to believe that this comment by HE @KagutaMuseveni about the votes Hon. @norbertmao was a message of acknowledgment of an existing cooperation and support. We continue to watch and learn Ugandan politics. Met Wonkom this evening, he’s in good spirits, what a man!
I’m in the race to the end. I will not join the wave of withdrawals. Months ago, like a soldier armed with nothing but a razor blade, I stormed the Bastille and with small consistent cuts secured a vital win for all the anti-corruption forces. How? By shaking the throne amidst opposition from the praise singers of Jezebel we forced the hand of powerful people to act in tandem with the sentiments of an outraged population. The cause for which I declared my candidature for the Position of Speaker of Parliament is an enduring cause. It doesn’t end with the casting of the vote tomorrow. I have crossed the Rubicon. Let the chips fall where they will. God is not deaf. God is not blind. God is not dumb. He hears, He sees and He speaks. God Bless the 12th Parliament. God Bless Uganda.
