🚨 ALASKA FAMILY — PLEASE READ 🚨
Right now, a proposal is being considered that would cut the unguided halibut limit from two fish to one across Alaska.
For many families, halibut fishing isn’t about sport.
It’s about feeding our families, teaching our kids, and spending time together on the water.
One less fish means:
• Less food in the freezer
• Shorter trips for families who save all year to go
• Another Alaska tradition slowly slipping away
These decisions are often made by people who don’t feel the impact the way local families do — unless we speak up.
⚠️ Public comment is open right now, and this is one of the few chances regular Alaskans have to be heard before rules become permanent.

You don’t need to write much. A few sentences about your family and why this matters is enough.
📣 Please share this so other families don’t miss their chance.
🎣 Alaska’s fisheries should work for Alaska families — not just paperwork.

@MaryPeltola Come out to the public and promise us you’ll ban trawling in Alaska and I don’t think you’ll have a problem winning… seems like a sure path to me. Running on “pro-fish” and not publicly saying you’re perusing a trawling ban has everyone concerned.
