Backwards Capital

Backwards Capital is an early-stage venture capital fund. We partner with outliers before they're obvious to others.

Today, we announce our $25M fundraise to build the future of creative work.

For all of history, what you could create was dictated by the resources accessible to you.

That's why we built @trymelius, the agents lab for creatives, to tear down that constraint and let agents leverage generative models to bring all your ideas to life.

So that anyone can make anything.

Huge thanks to @yuris at @generalcatalyst and @verorellana02 + @reidRMC at @CRV for leading the round, and to @gefkovicz + @benmtaft at @geniusventures, @amosk1120 + @adamvalkin at @VineVenturesLP, @jakepaul + @geoffwoo at @antifund, @rauchg, @bykahlil and many more amazing investors for taking a bet on us.

I’m very fortunate to have been the first believer and investor in Zach and Omen AI. It was obvious from our first conversation that he was special.

We initially met when he was a scrappy high school dropout, building his first company in Canada. He was an obsessive builder tackling ambitious problems. Not much has changed. I’m excited to have been involved since day one.

Congratulations to Zach and the entire Omen AI team!

Seed round closed. 🚀

Grateful for the support of an incredible group of investors as we build the financial infrastructure of fandom.

Now we build. 🌕

Was fortunate to back @chrishlad early as an angel and double down with the first check out of my fund. He and the @hanoverpark park team have shipped + executed at an insanely impressive pace. They're just getting started.
