I'm doing daily check-in Tik-tok's to try to help me manage my #ADHD with STRUCTURE. Paired with a draw from high chaos Alleyman's tarot deck to guide reflection and focus energy for the day.

It's... it's a thing.

Double plus weird that apparently some of my coworkers complained to my immediate supervisors boss about me crocheting on the floor without bringing it up to me at any point....

[Telith @Bad8uddhist]

As a late dx neurodivergent human, who was also declared disabled by Social Security for a completely different SMI before the ADHD dx:
Calmly and confidently asserting stims I've utilized my entire life as reasonable accommodations under the ADA is wild.

[Telith @Bad8uddhist]

Just...super weird to both have absolute confidence in the effectiveness of an accommodation, and confidence in the fact that my bosses would absolutely respect this reasonable accommodation.

[Telith @Bad8uddhist]

Okay but like.... why do I need this?

[Telith @Bad8uddhist]

This client has cried character assassination and exclusion from card games... for the natural consequences of his own actions.

[Telith @Bad8uddhist]

Client: You don't like me do you?
[My ass who was brusque but polite]: I wouldn't say that.
Client: oh yeah?
Me: you're a very prideful person, who thus far has shown little interest in anyone outside yourself.
Client: well you're entitled to your opinion.

[Telith @Bad8uddhist]

Fucking po pro.

Exists on repeat in my head rent free:

I celebrate myself, and sing myself.

Governers: we need to get rid of these encampment protections!
The ruling: if you increase the number of beds available to the unhoused, you would be in your rights to clear encampments.
Governers: No, not like that.

[Telith @Bad8uddhist]

Me: for all we know the person who ate that was sick or in there long enough to make you sick.
Client: I got my shots, pneumonia, flu, covid-
Me: sir... you know those don't prevent those illnesses. They just make getting them suck less.
*Client stares in chronically unhoused*

[Telith @Bad8uddhist]

*client riffling through garbage*
Me: [client] we don't go into the garbage cans here.
Client: oh yeah, yeah. I know. *continues to riffle brings out a container with slaw sauce*
Me: no.
Client: just to pour over my rice.
Me: absolutely not.
Client: *scoffs and throws away*

@ADHDdesigner Mom was too lenient with screen time. 10 hours a week of public access? Madness.

Or maybe it was that Cats was always on PBS...

[Telith @Bad8uddhist]

Almost every AFAB staff member at our drop-in center: no but like...the red flag vibes ooze from this client

Our 21 year old AFAB undergrad intern: I think he just needs help.

AFAB collective: oh we don't argue about that. We just don't think it's mental illness or substances.

[Telith @Bad8uddhist]

Adventures in Mental Healthcare:
Client: honey, if you could go home, and get some pants. They will fit me. My friend will give you 40 dollars.
Me:....uh no. I can't...do any of that?
Client: oh, okay I didn't know honey.

[Telith @Bad8uddhist]

My coworker: do you know what a roguelite is?
Me:...sir I have a steam account that's 8 years old.
Coworker:...so do you know or should I explain it.

[Telith @Bad8uddhist]

Hi/hello.

I've been using the "live laugh love" method of ADHD symptom management.

It...uh...it's....its wild going from "highly functional" to "if you see me sitting and staring into the middle distance, I just forgot to press a to clear the loading screen. Nudge me"

[Telith @Bad8uddhist]

Me: hey, @19HitstheDragon, I'm about to start shredding butter. *hands cook book* it's for that recipe there. Just like... so you don't think I've surrendered to the void or something.
Mike: Good to know.

[Telith @Bad8uddhist]

Me: [walking into @19HitstheDragon's office without preamble]...you ever have someone just casually bring up microdosing in the comments of your Insta post?
Mike: [shocked genuine laughter] oh, all the time.
