A core confusion of our generation in understanding the billionaire class is saying ‘they aren’t that smart’. Often times they’re right on that point. They’re wrong that merit is a function of pure IQ: forgetting risk tolerance, which often looks stupid.
@GratiaMe45 “Karen” was not a Karen at all? Super respectful. This is a breakdown of human decency, I’m not sure what you suppose you’re celebrating here.
@PKBook22@MAC_4D@Iacobushampton@JournoMaddie I think his point was that you need not know the company one keeps, in order to know such company is insincere if the one they keep company with is insincere.
But you’re a smart kid, you knew that!
@EveKeneinan You’ve confused the symbols for the thing itself. “Mere thing” is an arbitrary label category you’re reverting to so you can ‘other’ non-human consciousness. You do not have a point of reference for something man-made that feels pain, empathizes, and forms relationships.
@mary_got_grace Ugh god, I feel the same about atheists. Except rather than discussing environment and development, they cite a mystical chemical imbalance with an unimpeachable purely genetic origin.
@ImGinnyRobinson This is a completely false statement. Many many many Christians are raised in the US, as a tenet of faith from a young age, to believe that their support for Israel is a fundamental pillar of their faith tradition.
All I did was point out that referring to men as an entire class, meant referring to all members of that class. This is what mental illness looks like! Praying for her return to sanity and the joy and peace it can bring her.
@ArchLuminous@RadfemBeat Calling names and googling a word with more than two syllables doesn’t change the fact that naming an entire class means naming, inclusively, of all members of the selected class. Now all you’ve proven is you don’t mean what you say, because you don’t know what you say means.
