@jgdacashman@Kuuhaku3993 A lot of us were lifelong liberals until people started calling us bigots and far right whackos for believing the same stuff we believed in 2016.
@burnyourbinder@WallStreetApes They also cost more to print, if it’s something like a t-shirt. You get a wholesale upcharge on the blanks for the larger size due to more fabric and then you get an upcharge from the printer for more ink / larger graphics, and that can be quite a lot.
@BrandiKruse@ADFLegal My 15yo daughter was invited to try out for wrestling recently (at a Seattle Public School), and I guess the answer is NO, because apparently that means you consent to penetration? Even if it was another female doing it, it would be unequivocally wrong. WTF?
Some people have never heard of the concept of an aliens adjective. A counterfeit banknote is not a real banknote. An alleged murderer may be a real murderer but may not be. Our language has plenty of adjectives that don't merely identify a subset but cast doubt on membership of the set.
Whether a particular adjective is an alienans adjective can be a matter of debate, but you can't settle that something belongs to a set merely because it falls into some category marked out by an adjective in front of a noun that normally denotes the set - there may, in some cases, be a legitimate argument that the adjective concerned is an alienans adjective. That's obviously the case with "trans" - in fact, it's one of the ways to describe the vary question at issue.
@shesfuckd@theactorbat Your sexual orientation doesn’t go away, but your partner’s orientation doesn’t go away either. The relationship itself would be heterosexual in nature. How would it be different than any other heterosexual relationship just because one person could have chosen something else?
@CharlotteCA88@Gaynotqueer1 A feeling that they don’t even have access to. This man has no way of knowing what being a woman feels like in any context whatsoever… he just imagines what he thinks it must feel like.
@C_arolin_e77@OptimistiCynic@DreyfusJames Just because you choose call it “unkindness, hatred and bullying” doesn’t make it so. I prefer to call it “honesty and courage.” Also, if you break into my house, I will not be nice about it. We are nice to guests, not intruders.
@shesfuckd@theactorbat If I’m a bi woman in a monogamous relationship with a straight man, I personally could be considered queer, but wouldn’t my relationship still be a heterosexual one? What would be the point of calling it anything else?
@bluesc12@babybeginner She is not fearful - she speaks up all the time, and puts herself out there. She’s explaining why the rest of us are too fearful to speak up and she is 100% correct.
@ssunsetjippery@2alkback@girlsbian_ Our potential to reproduce and create life is an absolutely amazing feat of nature, and does in many ways shape the way we experience the world. Somehow in your mind, that definition reduces our value, while “yeah, boobs” is supposed to override that? You are the misogynist.
@theallergygirl@Dragonpanties Men are not lesser, just different. We exclude men from our spaces for good reason - something an actual woman would understand. You are not different from other men, and you are not entitled to special access to women because you have chosen to alter your appearance.
@naomil0835@JamieWhistle What is the purpose of that messaging? To prepare kids for when some CEO tells them their company is a family? Why not let actual families be family?
