Important thread
Must expect better reporting from outlets like @WalesOnline when it comes to motor vehicle incidents on our roads.
Using vague language that diminishes the role of the DRIVER can cause confusion, hinder preventative action + direct aggression towards victims.
Shaking with anger.
A @Cardiffbus driver (#11 to Pengham Green) just overtook me & my 9-year old cycling to @MoorlandPrimary (Splott Rd, 8:50am).
Way too close, not enough room. Forced us into the pavement, almost knocked us off.
Then did 2nd close pass a minute later.
Forgot the alt text:. “@ CaroWild in what way the cycle lanes add value to cardiff? Im curious of what is the agenda behind it, as in my experience so far what it added is ridiculous amount of traffic, higher pollution, grave danger to cyclist (as they never obey traffic signs)”
Warnings that lowering the speed limit from 30mph to 20mph will harm the economy have been discredited, a Welsh government minister has said

The person who owns their car might get back to the NCP Knox Road, Cardiff to find someone, having come down the in ramp too quickly, has bumped them. It wasn't me because I'm aware of my surroundings but this is arsehole parking.
Would be interested to know if the council has any standards for these… do accept this particular pavement is wide, but I think the principle should still apply here particularly as this bit of pavement is pleasantly paved and visually attractive streetscape @CdffCycleCity
Noticed these on Windsor Place, while it’s good to see more electric car charging points it’s important that equipment for drivers takes up space from the road itself, rather than take space from pedestrians, see example from Camden @cardiffcouncil@CaroWild@DeAthCardiff
This could be something a @WorldBollard could sort out. Sense of entitlement and feeling they won’t get caught! More cyclists with cameras important @theJeremyVine. Since I’ve bought a camera for my bike it’s been rare for any outing to not produce an incident I can report to 👮
Cardiff’s latest bypass now officially opened, between Lloyd George (ex Collingdon rd) and Bute Street. On the cycle lane 😱and we thought we were safe!@CaroWild @closepassescdf@BadDriversCDF
Did you know that over 1/2 of adults say that drivers overtaking too closely puts them off cycling in the UK?
We want everyone to experience the joy of life on the bike. If you're out driving this weekend, please don't pass #TooCloseForComfort.
RT to spread the word.
PAVEMENT PARKING is becoming a habitual norm - it needs to STOP! This can have serious access, safety & social consequences in communities especially for visually impaired & wheelchair users. It is not acceptable and legislative action is needed NOW! 🚘🚫🚶🏼♀️#pavementparking
I just don’t understand the mentality of doing this, I have too much stuff in my home but I wouldn’t think of plonking a few cupboards on the pavement outside my house. Why think it’s ok to do it with a car?
Tip for you, if you own a motor vehicle: avoid parking on yellow lines by parking completely on the pavement. Extra points gained for forcing a 6-year-old cyclist into road, as this person did. #CluelessInLeckwith
Second dangerous pass this morning - head on way above 20mph from this white van moron who failed to give way. Inches away. HC rule 155 relevant on this narrow road.
#OpSnap#EnjoyYourPoints (not likely tbh)
This morning's first close pass, ridiculously close sub 2ft overtake while going uphill. Just fkn wait a few seconds will you!!!
