Russia targeted a #Turkish civilian vessel (under the flag of the Republic of Palau) heading for Sulina. Warning shots were fired at it!

After the stop, a Ka-29 helicopter was picked up by the Russian military vessel Vasily Bykov and lowered onto the Turkish vessel for inspection. After inspection it was "allowed" to continue on its way. The Russians claim that this ship was heading for the #Ukrainian port of #Izmail.

The name of the ship, #Sukru Okran, was heading for the #Romanian port of #Sulina. Romania is not under Russian #blockade. A blockade on a Romanian port is, mind you, casus belli. We're not talking about that yet. Yet!

There are already several attempts to react by #NATO. They are testing NATO solidarity, deterrent reaction etc.

I think it is clear time for Romania (because it was the recipient and blocked port) and #Turkey to activate Article 4 (FOUR).

NATO's response at this moment is extremely important in all aspects. From electoral (for 2024), geostrategic, military, deterrence and confidence in the Alliance.

Ah, those who want to say "we're not getting into this war" or "it's not our war", "hey, you want to get us into the war", please refrain. I'm not arguing that, I'm arguing that NATO is obliged to react firmly and harshly.

There is no negotiating with terrorists. And the world I want to live in is not one in which a country led by a war criminal indulges in acts of "piracy" against NATO member states without punishment.

Just what is Russia going to do? Will it start an invasion? I think it's time to stop sitting with our heads bowed or on our knees in front of a declared terrorist state.
