Not going to lose my shit after one awful defeat/performance. Hopefully a massive wake up call & a reminder being good means fuck all without the hard work too. Only thing I will say is our defence will usually bail out our attack but our attack will never bail out our defence.
Brighton were unbelievable, at their best, & we weren't
They were the better side all over the pitch & beat us in every aspect of the match. Fully deserved win, fully deserved slap for us.
Take on the chin, man up & move on.
@sr_collings Potentially, given a nice run of games, it might might rise up to 8.
Noni, White & Dowman all call up material (pending on fitness & performances)
16 - The three youngest players to score in the League Cup for a Premier League side all did so for Arsenal:
16y 212d - Cesc Fàbregas (vs Wolves, 2003)
16y 258d - Max Dowman (vs Ipswich, 2026)
16y 266d - Jack Wilshere (vs Sheffield United, 2008)
Production.
@Ali_Sems Indeed, although we had a slightly tougher fixtures
Villa & Sunderland away > Palace & United away
Also Napoli away in the CL tougher than Porto I guess
But yes, City looking good
We'll wait for the inevitable Enzo collapse then
I honestly thought it was offside.
But I remember a United goal Vs City where Rashford (who was clearly offside) king of shielded the ball & Bruno was the quickest to send it home & while Rashford didn't touch the ball he was clearly interfering, yet the goal stood. So ...
Are we going to see, at any time on the future, both Timber & White fir & available, or is it too much to ask, as the world ain't ready?
So frustrating that
btw, I totally side calling those grappling incidents as penalties, the question whether it's going to be this way or is it another case of ATMRI (Arsenal tailor made rule implementation)
@HACKETTREF The bigger problem Keith isn't the isolated incident, it's the consistency in applying it in many other similar cases
Would it be implemented or is it just another case of dodgy 2nd yellow for time wasting (Rice vs Brighton, Trossard vs City) that won't be ever called again
Le Fee's penalty was better than Saka's, but the difference in quality between both keepers dictated the final outcome
Raya made one of the best penalty saves you'll ever see
