The BBC has announced it will turn off @BBCRadio4 Long Wave on 27th June. This will mark the end of our BBC as a national broadcaster, as vast areas of the UK will no longer be able to receive any BBC services (via FM,DAB,DVBT or internet) other than with a fixed satellite dish.
I'll never forgive Gove for his time as Education Secretary when he inflicted his own experience of education on our kids. As Chair of Governors I was forced to shutdown our school building site that provided courses for less academic kids at my school who could have been brickies, electricians and plumbers. He cut our funding, he's a c*nt. #hignfy

Curious that this property speculator chose to illustrate their proposed estate with swans, a WATER BIRD, in this very flood-prone area. #Hereford desperately needs homes for local people, but they must be truly affordable, secure, and until the #HousePriceCrash, for rent only.

This is cobblers.
The water shortage was a result of SE Water not being able to treat water fast enough to meet increased demand.
A failure of capacity and infrastructure.
@p_aulwhite Partially leucistic pine martin? Leucism is relatively common in mustelids, I've seen it in badgers and polecat/ferrets, but never even heard of it in martens. Another speculation: I have a vague memory of reading somewhere that some martens can go white in winter, like stoats.

🦡 The government’s decision not to renew the final culling licence in Cumbria has brought an end to one of the country’s most ineffective wildlife control policies.
However, there's still uncertainty about what may happen next. Read the full story here: https://t.co/ppexm9hXyB
