Pi is going to pay for robots
Pi Network (@PiCoreTeam) has joined RoboPay as a payment partner, with $PI set to be used for robot services across the Fabric network (@FabricFND). RoboPay was built so AI agents can discover, hire and pay robots autonomously onchain, and this deal extends that same rail to tens of millions of Pi holders.
Once services go live, the vision includes summoning delivery robots for groceries, dispatching security patrols, or booking industrial inspections, all paid in the currency Pioneers already hold. Fabric calls it the foundation of an open machine economy where humans, AI and robots transact side by side.
Pi Network @PiCoreTeam joins RoboPay as a payment partner. Pi will be used to pay for robot services across the Fabric network.
RoboPay was built to enable AI agents to discover, hire, coordinate, and pay robots autonomously onchain, transforming robots from connected machines into autonomous economic actors capable of providing real-world services.
Today, that same infrastructure extends beyond AI.
Tens of millions of Pi users will have access to robot services directly through the use of currency that they already hold. Once available, the anticipated robot services may include requesting a delivery robot to bring groceries, dispatching a security robot to patrol a property, scheduling an inspection robot for industrial facilities, or interacting with humanoid assistants in retail and hospitality. Autonomous labor may become as accessible as any digital service.
This partnership marks a fundamental shift in how humans are able to interact with robotics. Instead of purchasing robots themselves, users will be able to simply purchase outcomes. Physical intelligence becomes an on-demand service that is discoverable, programmable, and instantly payable through a shared economic network.
By connecting humans, AI agents, and robots through the same payment infrastructure, RoboPay and Pi have created the foundation for an open machine economy, where autonomous labor can participate in everyday commerce alongside real people.
The future isn't just AI that can think. It's an economy where humans, AI, and robots are all able to transact, collaborate, and create value together.
See the product AI Imagined if Pi and Ripple collaborated...
Pi Network (@PiCoreTeam) and @Ripple have arguably the largest communities in the crypto space.
So, we asked @Grok to create a product both protocols could launch if there were a partnership.
The product was PiRipple or πRipple... What does it do?
It would be a seamless, mobile-first global payments and remittance platform, allowing users to send $PI, $XRP, $RLUSD, or any fiat to anyone in the world for near-zero fees.
Pi acts as the friendly, social front-end currency and identity layer. XRPL handles the heavy lifting of instant settlement and liquidity.
Pi Network's Protocol v25 Upgrade is Today
Pi Network (@PiCoreTeam) announced that its Protocol v25 upgrade is scheduled for today.
The upgrade promises to improve network stability and support new capabilities for more efficient, privacy-preserving smart contracts.
In another related update, $PI recently crossed a $1 billion market cap again, after a solid rise in the crypto space.
On July 22, Pi is scheduled to upgrade to Protocol v25, which primarily focuses on improving network stability and reliability, and supports new capabilities for more efficient, privacy-preserving smart contracts.

Pi needs a token burn.
I hope the portion of undistributed community allocation, Foundation allocation, and Core Team allocation will all be burned.
A portion of transaction fees should also be burned.
The Core Team should also introduce a clear policy to ensure that the amount of Pi entering circulation each year does not exceed a reasonable limit.

This is the official article published on Stellar’s website in 2019, when it burned 50% of the total lumen supply.
Recognizing that the original tokenomics did not work as intended and correcting it quickly also takes courage.
Remember this. if Stellar had failed to protect the value of its token at that time, the great utility it built years later might never have been possible.
‐--------‐------------------------------
"What are those resources? Yesterday, there were about 105 billion lumens in existence, roughly:
20 billion out in the world
17 billion in SDF’s operating fund
68 billion remained earmarked for giveaway programs administered by SDF
Stellar isn’t mined, so the lumens now in public hands are there because we’ve worked hard to get them there over the last four years. As for the other two allocations, in time and after a lot of thought, we’ve come to realize they’re too large.
SDF can be leaner and do the work it was created to do using fewer lumens.
Over the years we’ve also seen that giveaways and airdrops have diminishing effects, especially in the outsized amounts our original plan was designed to support.
So a smaller public-facing program would have just as much impact.
The network and community around Stellar are now robust enough to allow SDF to carry less weight, too--we’re just a piece of a much larger whole, and the funds we steward should reflect that.
So: we’ve decided to reduce our lumen allocations, and to rededicate what remains to what we now think Stellar needs most. We’ll use approximate numbers here in the text, but the chart and table to follow detail the precise amounts in question.
So: we’ve decided to reduce our lumen allocations, and to rededicate what remains to what we now think Stellar needs most. We’ll use approximate numbers here in the text, but the chart and table to follow detail the precise amounts in question.
Just before this announcement, we burned 5 billion lumens from our operating fund. It now stands at 12 billion lumens. This reduction isn’t in any way a retreat from our mission. It’s an acknowledgement that we owe it to the ecosystem, to the network, and to ourselves, to be as efficient as possible in our work. We’ve plotted the next ten years of Stellar’s growth and even with our greatly increased ambitions for SDF, we’re confident these funds will be enough to see us, and the network, through.
At the same time, we’re ending Stellar’s World Giveaway Program (for individual airdrops) and our Partner Giveaway programs, both of which were created at the network’s inception. 50 billion of the 68 billion lumens in those programs have also been burned. We believe the number of lumens we hold now aligns better with our mission. SDF will not burn any additional lumens.
To burn the lumens, we have sent them to a Stellar account with no signers (including a master key weight of 0):
GALAXYVOIDAOPZTDLHILAJQKCVVFMD4IKLXLSZV5YHO7VY74IWZILUTO
We believe the number of lumens now aligns better with our mission. SDF will not burn any additional lumens.
For clarity, this is what remained after these transactions:
All told, there are now 50 billion lumens in existence[1].
Slightly under 30 billion of those are still administered by SDF.
That pool is a resource for the whole network. We view these as “Stellar’s lumens”, not so much owned by the Foundation as held by us temporarily to use for initiatives that support Stellar and the ecosystem. Alongside this burn, we’ve developed a new set of strategic objectives for SDF, and we are publicly committing to using them pursuant to the plan below. This new mandate reflects our desire to do more of what has worked for Stellar and much less of what hasn’t.
We’ve designed the new mandate with the future of the network foremost in mind, but as you’ll see below we’ve also tried to tie each allocation back to our original vision."

For the record, I have also been consistently reviewing #Stellar xlm for the past 4–5 years.
Back then, almost nobody in South Korea cared about Stellar. The price was also terrible. Many people said the coin was basically dead.
But now, if someone is interested in blockchain, a lot of people talk about Stellar. I also see many XLM fans now. Since people have already experienced XLM’s big price pumps before, even when the price goes down, many see it not as disappointment, but as an opportunity.
So what about #Pi ?
Pi is different from Stellar, but it definitely has something clear and strong.
A massive community that does not disappear.
A Core Team that may be slow, but continues to build without stopping.
A U.S.-based coin +Stellar DNA + KYC-based coin, and more.
I believe that as time passes, the day will come when Pi is recognized too.
