70 वी BPSC परीक्षा के परिणाम घोषित होने के बाद चंपारण जिले की एक अनुसूचित जाति वर्ग से आने वाली एक ग़रीब परिवार की बेटी को SDM पद चयनित किया गया हैं जिससे परिवार ही नहीं बल्कि पूरे समाज में खुशी का माहौल पैदा हो गया।

एसडीएम पद की नियुक्ति मिलने के बाद उन्होंने कहा कि मुझे पढ़ाने के लिए मेरी माता जी ने आर्थिक हालातों के चलते काफ़ी संघर्ष किया ख़ुद परेशानियों से जूझ रही लेकिन मेरे सफल होने तक मेरे साथ हौसला बनाकर खड़ी रही और एसडीएम पुष्पा कुमारी ने इस सफलता को श्रेय बाबा साहेब डॉ॰ भीमराव अंबेडकर को भी दिया क्योंकि उनके संघर्ष की बदौलत आज जो जिसका पर है वो बड़ा साहब ही देन हैं।

समाज की बेटी को इस सफलता के लिए बधाई तो बनती हैं।

Only 8.7% of Indians hold a passport. This is roughly 120 million individuals out of India's population of about 1.43 billion.

Hence, the statement of the Ministry of External Affairs is wholly irrelevant to over 91% Indians who do not have passports. But what about those who have it ?
The Indian Citizenship Act, 1955 provides that a person can become an Indian citizen by birth, descent, registration, or naturalization

Now section 6(2) of the Indian Passports Act, 1967 says :
'' Subject to the other provisions of this Act, the passport authority shall refuse to issue a passport or travel document for visiting any foreign country under clause (c) of sub-section (2) of section 5 on any one or more of the following grounds, and on no other ground, namely:— (a) that the applicant is not a citizen of India ''

So unless one has satisfied the Passport Officer that he/she is an Indian citizen, one cannot get a passport. To be satisfied that the applicant is an Indian citizen, the Passport Officer will naturally ask the applicant for its proof e.g. birth certificate, high school certificate, naturalization certificate, etc. Only on getting such proof can he issue the passport.
It logically follows that holding a valid passport is per se proof of citizenship
Of course under section 20 of the Passports Act in certain specific circumstances a passport can be issued to a non-citizen, but that is very rare, and is only given to a miniscule number of people, and that too for a short period, if the Government of India thinks it is in the public interest. Section 20 is an exception, and cannot detract from the efficacy of the main rule contained in section 6(2).
It follows that the stand of the Ministry of External Affairs is not correct. A passport proves citizenship

माझा दुसरा आक्षेप असा आहे की, ‘देवदत्त वाहतूक व पर्यटन सहकारी संस्था’च्या बँक खात्यात शून्य रुपये आहेत. या संस्थेने गेल्या २५ वर्षांत एकदाही निवडणूक घेतलेली नाही. संपूर्ण वर्षभरात ज्या संस्थेच्या खात्यात केवळ ₹२४६ ची उलाढाल झाली, अशा एका ‘शेल’ सहकारी संस्थेचं नाव बदलून ‘नमो टॅक्सी’ ठेवल्याने तिची पात्रता बदलत नाही. मुंबई बँकेचे कर्ज जर याच संस्थेला देण्यात येणार असेल, तर आमचे सर्व आक्षेप कायम आहेत.

लोकांना नावात नाही, सेवेत बदल हवा आहे.

I am surprised that even after criminalising voluntary religious conversions through Dharma Swatantrya Adhiniyam, assaulting free speech, dissent and democratic rights through the Jan Surkasha Bill, stealing thousands of crores of funds from the Scheduled Castes’ welfare budget, shutting down Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations, demolishing Buddha Viharas, and the double engine sarkar concept, the BJP-led Maharashtra government has not been able to prevent paper leak in the TET.

The last eight decades of West Bengal's Political and social history is the history of denial and neglect of Bengali Scheduled Castes. Despite the fact that Bengal is second largest SC populated State yet The Government has no exclusive Department of Scheduled Castes Welfare.

भाजपा की आदिवासी विरोधी मानसिकता एक बार फिर उजागर हो गई।

कॉटन कॉर्पोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (सीसीआय) विरोधात अकोल्यातील काही शेतकऱ्यांनी उच्च न्यायालयात रिट याचिका दाखल केली आहे. सीसीआयने विदर्भातील शेतकऱ्यांचा कापूस खरेदी केला. त्यामुळे कापूस उत्पादक शेतकऱ्यांच्या आत्महत्या कमी झाल्या.

सीसीआयमध्ये एक नवीन पद्धत सुरू झाली आहे. ती म्हणजे, २०-२५ टक्के जे कापसाचे बेल केले आहेत, त्याला पडेल भावाने विकायचे, त्यातून सीसीआयला अडचणीत आणण्याचा प्रयत्न सुरू आहे. सीसीआय अडचणीत आली तर कापूस उत्पादक शेतकऱ्यांचे जे शोषण काही प्रमाणात थांबले आहे, ते पुन्हा सुरू होण्याची शक्यता आहे.

त्याविरोधात शेतकरी न्यायालयात गेले आहेत. हे प्रकरण न्यायालयाने पूर्ण ऐकून सीसीआय आणि शासनाला नोटीस पाठवून दोन आठवड्यात उत्तर द्यायला सांगितले आहे. त्यानंतर फायनल सुनावणी होणार आहे.

यामुळे कापूस उत्पादक शेतकऱ्यांना ऍग्रीकल्चर प्राईज कमिशनचा भाव मिळण्याची शक्यता आहे.

अकोल्यातील एक व्यक्ती बाहेरगावी २-३ महिन्यांसाठी गेले होते. स्मार्ट मीटरमध्ये त्यांचे एका महिन्याचे वीज बील घरात नसतांना सुद्धा जवळपास 5 हजार रुपये आले आहे.

वापर न करता ही स्मार्ट मीटरमध्ये रिडींग सुरू आहे आणि नागरिकांना वीज बिलाचा भुर्दंड बसतोय.
