If you're a coach or could forward this to a coach, we'd value your participation in a couple of studies our center is conducting:
Coach Swearing Study – investigates whether coaches use profanity and why/why not. - https://t.co/SF4DJ8aFpC
Coach Use of AI – investigates whether coaches use AI and why/why not. - https://t.co/oM8KsZlp4p
Thanks!
@JustinBarneyTV It's a popular sport in which the average age of participation is decreasing rapidly. There are many college club teams and scholarships are starting to appear. It makes sense for high schools, especially as there is high female participation also.
With summer for coaches, we must develop just as we expect our athletes to develop. I’m a better coach because of earning my Master’s in Athletic Coaching from @FloridaState! The faculty led by Dr. Tim @Baghurst is first class! Best investment I’ve made in coaching! Link below👇
The most authentic way to replicate real game situations in practice is to simulate real game situations. Looking forward to seeing donuts and trash cans included in the first game of the season...
@CoachHallNTF Hopefully the data in a year's time when I recollect the survey will identify what has actually happened. Decisions shouldn't be made without informed data.
Coaches are still voicing their opinions about the recent legislation concerning stipends. If you coach in the FL school system, whether public or private, have you shared your thoughts? We're almost at 2,500 responses, but there are 20,000+ coaches. https://t.co/5WCwX6KLeF

Key senators strike bipartisan deal on sweeping college sports reform with transfer, eligibility, and cap enforcement. A bipartisan Senate proposal from Ted Cruz and Maria Cantwell would make major changes to college sports. Among them: restore a one-time transfer rule, allow waivers when coaches leave, or other circumstances arise, establish a five-year eligibility cap, restrict professional athletes from entering college competition, create enforceable compensation caps, require NIL deals to reflect fair market value rather than disguised pay-for-play, limit agent fees to 5%, and create national standards for athlete representation.
The bill would also prohibit coaches from leaving for another job before the season ends and prevent schools from hiring a coach away before that coach’s season concludes. It would preempt conflicting state NIL laws, provide a limited antitrust safe harbor, protect health insurance and scholarships, support women’s and Olympic sports, and explore media-rights changes to generate more revenue across college athletics.

If this is your sports program, you might be developing great players by the time your athletes are young adults, but you're losing the vast majority of them. Why? There are a number of possible reasons, but a focus on winning over development and fun is probably the number one cause.
I'm looking for 10 high school athletic directors who would be willing to review a survey we've created and provide feedback. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes. TIA!
