@saravdwerf Did this blog post go up yet? I can’t seem to find it. I’m anxious to hear your thoughts on name tenets in the digital era! Name tents have really helped me get to know my students and they love them!
While I think adaptations would need to be made for my students, the idea of a “trio” is a good launching point! This coming school year is definitely going to require creativity for building relationships!
@SuperEvansMath@abel_jennifer I was just wrestling with this same question yesterday! I think I'm going to assign students to a "trio" and have accountability systems in place to ensure they discuss prompts. Here's my writeup of it: https://t.co/LQ98xxCHpL
Isn’t it now more than ever important for students to be able to look at data and figure out what is fact vs fiction?! Once again @joboaler speaks to my math soul. Thanks for the Data Revolution webinar. @cvusd_math I love the idea of Data Talks!
What if - hear me out for a minute - instead of stressing about lost content, we spent a bunch of weeks next year doing spatial puzzles and spatial activities???
If you can’t imagine doing this, you might want to see this research:

My coworker and I did our first zoom with students today. We tried an online version of @youcubed’s Four 4’s. While we learned we can do some things better, the kids loved it and wanted to know when we could do it again. #CVMScougarPride@CajonValleyMS@cvusd_math
*Flash forward to teaching in 2050*
Teacher: So let's say Cindy buys 120 rolls of toilet paper, and…
Student: That’s not realistic!
Teacher: Now let me tell you about what happened in 2020…
Since I can't give my students their birthday postcards and pencils right now, I'm doing the next best thing and mailing them home. I miss my Cougars! #CVMScougarPRIDE@CajonValleyMS

@CVWorldofWork@joboaler@CajonValleyUSD@VitaNavis@sdworkforce Yes! Which I love! I should have more eloquently questioned or stated how to use what we have with world of work to integrate data science into my current math curriculum more purposefully and more frequently. Which, you’ve already given me an idea!
The math that people really use isn’t seen in schools...listened to @joboaler call for the need of data science in schools. How can we integrate this into the @CVWorldofWork? I feel like these two things go together. @CajonValleyUSD#cmcsouth2019
CVMS launched Red Ribbon week today. While there are many fabulous people who make this happen, it wouldn’t happen without Laura Stabile and Stacey Isom! Today’s theme: “I MUSTACHE you not to do drugs.” #CVMSmakesPAWSitivechoices@CajonValleyUSD@CajonValleyMS
