Mark Andrews gets a matchup aghast the Falcons this week in Sunday Night Football. This is an interesting spot with Lamar Jackson injured, Tyler Huntley takes his place as BAL heads on the road as a 3.5 point underdog. That on the surface could lead to some better pass volume than in comparison to when BAL gets way out ahead with a big lead.

While a backup QB situation may be concerning, I actually believe this is beneficial for Andrews for a variety of reasons. Firstly, Huntley is very familiar with making starts and particularly with the Ravens so he and Mark do have chemistry over the years. He's notably played in 26 games in his career with Baltimore making 11 starts.

The key here is the fact he has loved to target the TE position at a well above average rate. Huntley notably has a massive 34.2% target rate to TE's over the last 5 years which is the highest clip of any other QB in the league. This is excellent to see and this situation shouldn't really negatively affect Mark.

Last season Huntley started 2 full games, in those we saw Andrews go for 34 and 28 yards. Now context is important because this was even when BAL had Isaiah Likely and Kolar at TE who were heavily involved in terms of snap%, they are now gone.

In those 2 Huntley starts in 2025 BAL also won by 14 and 17 leading to lower pass volume. As underdogs here @ ATL who allows the lowest YPC and 2nd fewest rush yards to RB's, I expect them to sell out to stop Henry forcing them to pass more.

It's also noteworthy that Flowers is questionable dealing with an injury, Mark could easily be the focal point of the pass game.

ATL ranks 20th in TE defense and allow the highest pass rate over expectation in NFL. TE's vs Falcons last 2 weeks:
Juwan Johnson 8 targets
Tucker Kraft 8 targets

In weeks 1 and 2:
Darren Waller 33 yards
Pat Freiermuth 46 yards
