doesn’t get much more southern than this…I freaking love the crispy finish on those biscuits. Love the stack (put a fried chicken thigh on there and sell them!). Skin on home fries…the only way.

Southern: Butter-swim biscuits with pimento cheese & bacon. Homefries on the side with onion & jalapeños.

my…lord. I’ve never had this. Pie crust AND biscuits and gravy, then a 4 hour nap. Nice job on the lattice. I’m going to need extra gravy on top please. Great southern comfort…nice presentation.

. @ebeth360@BakeoffJudge#twitterbakeoff southern comfort in honor of MLK,Jr. I made a biscuit & gravy pie. Make a pie crust and par bake. Brown sausage, coat w/flour, stir in milk to make white gravy. Cut up canned biscuits. Layer into pie crust, top, bake. Creamy goodness. 😋

gorgeous. Southern and healthy. Well..except the bacon, mayo and sour cream….but for a southern dish, it’s healthy. Nice colors and presentation. Props for entering a salad but it’s legit since it’s from Dolly!

Shoutout @xrae
great comfort choice. Does lose all the beautiful color when fully cooked, but looks delicious. More detail! What was in the broth? Seared the beef?

classic dish. I’ve eaten this plate more times than I can count. Nice rise on biscuits, bacon grease in the gravy…plenty of pepper. Lots and lots of pepper. Nice.

definitely comfort food, although never had that in the south :) nice finish. Love baking mine in a Dutch oven as well. Next time include some pics of the process and a nice slice once it cools so we can see the crumb!

The pate en croute is definitely the star. My kind of pate, too. Great technique. Nice slices (tough). All the other items are great - nice tapenade, but the pate slices are really inviting. A bit of Dijon and its heaven. Excellent work.

For this "Charcuterie" TwitterBakeoff, I could've just let out my artistic vibe, made it pretty, and, you know, taken it easy on myself.
Instead, I decided to go all out, and actually make the charcuterie.
Because I'm insane, that's why. 🤪 #AtheenCooks@ebeth360@BakeoffJudge

dynamite. Everything - meat, cheese, dip, fruit, colors…and just orderly enough! I’ve never seen hard boiled eggs used…I like it. Love the tree picks.

more of a buffet of awesomeness than a classic charcuterie but I’ll allow it. Love the cucumber sushi, gyoza are always a hit. Fried rice is a meal. Fruit plate is colorful and the wings look absolutely perfect.

love the board. Has everything I like - prosciutto, blue, goat, dried apricots…I usually do an apricot marmalade with a blue but I love those flavors together!

nice spread. Lovely hummus wreath (I’m guessing). Little dark chocolate. Nice of you to provide crackers for those of us not watching carbs! Lots of fruits and veggies.

It’s on the tip of my tongue…reminds me of someone. This hits differently now that he’s been sworn in. Nice shape. Hair color is perfect. Love the ducks. But no crackers?

Back in the saddle - had some hand trouble but nothing a little surgery couldn’t cure…
Anything happen in the last few weeks? Maybe in the DC area?
Anyway…catching up tonight!

you can’t highlight here ingredients more than this. You had me at bacon and pecans. Put bourbon instead of maple in that and I’m driving over to get some.Bain Marie had that come our perfectly. I see you sliced it with a…jigsaw? :)

And now for my favorite - the chopped challenge. The trick is to choose ingredients everyone can get relatively easily, that can result in an array of final products and allow your creativity to run. Success. You guys rock.

perfect. That sauce is great on gnocchi…the crispy sage with bacon and brown butter is awesome. love that you made the cream cheese and it looks perfect. Pasta is excellent with great technique. Plating is top notch. Top notch.

For this week's #TwitterBakeoff, we had to use cream cheese, bacon, and lemon.
So I made fresh tortellini from scratch, with a home made cream cheese/bacon/lemon zest filling, tossed in a sage brown butter sauce.
There were no leftovers. 😂 #AtheenCooks@ebeth360@BakeoffJudge

this was the first dish that came to mind when I thought of savory with these ingredients. But you stepped up - made your own pasta (classic). Chicken and bacon are cooked perfectly sauce looks excellent and not too thick.

awesome creativity. Next level additions with the fiori di sicilia, etc. pepper was interesting add to cut the lemon. I might try with cardamom but not sure how it would go with bacon. Pretty cookies!
#twitterbakeoff
I used a lemon cake mix and Fiori di Sicilia to continue a citrus flavor. Mix in lemon, pepper and bacon bits. I chose shelf stable bacon. Once baked, top with a lemon glaze and more bacon. The pepper comes thru at the end eating the cookie. Interesting experiment!
