Step 1: Remove filters in Reflecting Pool because Obama put them in.
Step 2: Give your criminal neighbor who runs "Greenwater Services" a $20 million no-bid contract to paint the pool.
Step 3: Fill the pool with water from the Potomac River, the phosphates from which cause algae blooms.
Step 4: Freshly sealed pool and extreme heat result in a super scum event
Step 5: Direct National Park Service to dump hydrogen peroxide into the pool which causes the paint to peel.
Step 5: Deploy US National Guard to stop people from taking photos of the swamp as a perfect metaphor for the administration.
Step 6: Blame someone else.
To everyone so eager to cancel someone for a tattoo they got at age 22, a drunk text, a selfie they took in the middle of a mental health crisis:
Show us your laptop.
Show us your iCloud.
Open your entire digital life to your worst enemy. No context. No filter. No explanation.
You won’t.
You won’t because you know what I know. Any one of us, frozen at our worst moment, photographed in our lowest hour, looks like a monster. Looks like a stranger. Looks like someone who deserves to be cast out.
That is not who we are.
My mom and baby sister were killed in a car accident when I was just a kid. Cancer took my brother Beau, my best friend and my rock. I battled alcoholism. I battled addiction. I chose the coward’s way out more times than I can count.
For years I believed the defining chapters of my life were written by tragedy, loss, and shame.
I no longer believe that.
Pain can shape us. Loss can humble us. Failures can leave scars that never fully fade. But none of them have the authority to define us.
And it sure as hell ain’t the critic that counts.
That authority belongs to us alone-the person in the arena.
Every setback presents a choice. Play the victim, or cut the bullshit and take ownership for who we become next.
Life does not determine our character. It reveals it.
Again and again we are asked the same question. When shit happens, what next?
We are not defined by what happened to us. We are not defined by the worst photo, the worst text, the worst tattoo, the worst night. We are defined by the person we choose to become. And by the courage to choose that person, every single day.
So before you reach for the gavel - show us your laptop.
You won’t.
The whole world saw mine. And I am still here. Still becoming. Still choosing. Still standing.
That is the only definition that matters.
If Jeff Bezos could afford to spend $75 million on the Melania movie & $500 million for a yacht to sail off to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring, please don't tell me he needed to fire one-third of the Washington Post staff.
Democracy dies in oligarchy.
Let me say this as clearly as possible, because people keep getting it wrong.
Republican lawmakers didn’t stick with Trump because they were hypnotized...terrified...or somehow helpless.
They stuck with him because he’s one of them.
Trump didn’t corrupt a moral party. He exposed a corrupt one.
If Trump were merely embarrassing...reckless...or rude... they would have dumped him years ago. Politicians abandon liabilities fast. What they don’t abandon...are mutual liabilities.
Trump normalized behavior that many of them were already guilty of: ethical shortcuts...financial murkiness... abuse of power...contempt for oversight... lying as policy.
He didn’t invent the rot...he gave it cover.
And here’s the part people don’t like to hear:
For a lot of Republicans in Congress, Trump isn’t the risk.
Accountability is.
Trump absorbs attention like a sponge. While everyone is watching his circus...others operate quietly in the shadows. He’s not a distraction...he’s a shield. A very useful one.
Once they crossed certain lines together...election lies, January 6th...obstruction...weaponization of government ...there was no clean exit.
Loyalty became self-preservation. Defection meant subpoenas...investigations...and career death.
That’s why the so-called “good Republicans” vanished.
They weren’t persuaded. They were purged. Retired. Primaried. Marginalized. What you’re seeing now isn’t universal agreement...it’s selection pressure.
Only those comfortable with ethical decay remain.
This is how systems rot. Not with villains twirling mustaches...but with people who decide, one compromise at a time, that survival matters more than principle.
Trump didn’t take over the GOP.
The GOP recognized itself in Trump.
And that’s why expecting them to “come to their senses” is a fantasy.
You can’t ask people to enforce standards that would incriminate them.
The alliance holds...because it has to.
That’s not psychology.
That’s incentive structure.
And until people stop confusing fear...with complicity... they’ll keep being shocked by behavior that was always predictable.
BREAKING: Congressman Jared Moskowitz just brilliantly trolled Kristi Noem by reading aloud from her memoir about the time she murdered her dog — and he did it during a markup for a bill about deporting migrants for harming animals.
The room couldn't help but burst into laugher...
Moskowitz gave a "spirited reading" of the book according to The Hill and mockingly chided his colleagues for referring to Cricket — the canine that Noem executed in a gravel pit — as a dog.
"Actually, it was a puppy. It was 14 months old,” he said. “And that puppy had a name. Say its name: Cricket. OK? That puppy had a name.” As he continued reading, several people in the room "snickered."
“It starts: ‘I hated that dog … . The dog, on the way home from a pheasant hunt, was untrainable, and it went to go attack the chickens," said Moskowitz. "And, at that moment, I realized I had to put her down. So, I grabbed a gun and led Cricket to a gravel pit. It wasn’t a pleasant job, but it had to be done.”
"'And after it was over, I realized another unpleasant job needed to be done, and so I went and got the family goat and brought that to the gravel pit, and unfortunately, I wasn’t able to kill that goat with one shot,'" he continued, unable to stop himself from laughing.
Moskowitz made the point that the passage is directly relevant to the bill being considered, which would "amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to provide that an alien who has been convicted of harming animals used in law enforcement is inadmissible and deportable.”
“I think the point of bringing it up is on the merits of the bill. We can debate the merits of the bill, but if we’re just going to get on our high horse about animal cruelty — which I think we all agree on, by the way, I think there’s unanimity here on animal cruelty — I just, you know, want to make sure that we apply that universally,” said Moskowitz.
He added that he and Congressman Dan Goldman want to remind Congress that "the Secretary of Homeland Security also did not treat an animal in which we believe the animal should be treated.” Goldman even suggested renaming the bull to "The Kristi Noem Canine Relief Act of 2025.”
“It is noteworthy that we are doubling down on deporting, arresting individuals who assault dogs in this case. And make no mistake, I am strongly against anyone assaulting dogs,” he said. “But I really want to know how, if at all, it would apply to Cabinet members who have admitted that they have shot and killed a dog.”
“So I understand that this bill would not necessarily apply because it is really focused on making sure that we double down and deport not just people who are convicted of killing dogs, but people who have been alleged to have killed dogs," Goldman continued.
“And so this renaming, I think, would really capture the true essence of the bill, which is that we really don’t want anybody to kill dogs, especially the secretary of Homeland Security," he added.
The legislation, called "The BOWOW Act" was introduced by a Republican and is no way intended to protect animals. It's designed to give the Trump administration even more leeway to deport people on flimsy grounds, while simultaneously painting the false picture in Americans' minds that migrants are all animal-abusing monsters.
Moskowitz is treating the bill with exactly the level of seriousness and respect it deserves, which is to say none.

Let me share a little secret: America doesn't have $38 trillion in debt because Americans get Social Security and Medicare. It's because billionaires and millionaires aren't paying their fair share in taxes. It's that simple.
He lost in 2020, refused to accept the result, and then tried to overthrow the election.
To win in 2026, they’re openly cheating by engaging in mid-decade redistricting.
They refuse to swear in a Democrat who won her election to Congress over 3 weeks ago.
So don’t you dare tell me they’ll relinquish control if Democrats take back the House or the Senate in 2026. Don’t tell me of course he’ll physically leave the White House if they lose in 2028. Don’t insult my intelligence by telling me they’ll follow the rules & the law. Don’t tell me they’ll adhere to the will of the people. They’ve proven they won’t.
BREAKING: Goldman Sachs kicks Donald Trump hard in the teeth with a new report that exposes his huge lie that foreign countries are paying his tariffs — when reality it's American consumers.
Show this to every MAGA dead-ender you know...
According to the bombshell analysis, U.S. consumers are already paying 55% of the tariff costs just six months into their implementation. Trump and his minions have repeatedly claimed, despite pushback from economic experts, that other countries would simply "eat" the tariffs. We now see beyond a shadow of a doubt that that is not the case.
Since April when Trump first announced his harebrained tariffs, consumer prices have steadily increased every month, eating into the wages and savings of American workers via inflation. As if that weren't bad enough, some companies may have been using pre-tariff inventories to keep prices artificially low. As those stockpiles run out, they'll be forced to raise prices to offset the tariffs.
Goldman Sachs also predicted that costs will likely rise even higher now that Trump is considering another wave of disastrous tariffs. True to ignorant form, he refuses to look at the effects of his policies or to reconsider his prior economic assumptions. There is no scenario in which this man admits that he was wrong.
The analysis estimates that the Trump tariffs have added a whopping 0.44% to the Fed's preferred inflation measure, a staggering increase when considered in the total scope of the U.S. economy. Hard working Americans are getting hammered. If Trump follows through on threats to tariff furniture and kitchen products, that number could rise to 0.6%. If that happens, consumers will bear 70% of the tariffs' cost.
Meanwhile, Trump's family is raking in massive amounts of money from corrupt business deals while the president himself accepts outright bribes, most blatantly in the form of a $400 million jet from Qatar. Americans are getting poorer while Trump reaches obscene new heights of wealth.
Please retweet and ❤️ to demand an immediate end to the tariffs!
Only 49% of republicans identify as MAGA. There are 37.7 million registered republican voters and 44.1 million dem voters. The population of the USA is 340 million, which makes MAGA only 5% of the US pop. They are the minority. You are being ruled by a small group of psychopaths.
BREAKING: A MAGA televangelist who told his congregants to give him all their money because the rapture would happen today has reportedly disappeared with all the cash.
