For over a decade, we have observed a growing trend of state barbarity on Baloch women political activists, students, teachers and civilians at large through various means, including harassment, excessive use of law, and even enforced disappearances and murders. The accountability has been none: because the state treats the Baloch as third-grade citizens – or even worse, if there is any.

Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The day is observed worldwide to pay homage to the three revolutionary Mirabal sisters, Maria Teresa Mirabal, Patria Mercedes Mirabal Reyes and Bèlgica Adela Mirabal Reyes, who were brutally persecuted on November 25, 1960, by Rafael Tujillo’s state agents. Their active political activism against the dictator regime of Tujillo, particularly against the human rights violations of the indigenous people of the Dominican Republic, led them to become the beacon of hope and life for their people and eventually caused them to become martyred but did not surrender to the barbaric regime.

Balochistan, on the other hand, is facing a similar nature of atrocities through different state institutions. With their constantly growing scope for human rights infringements, the state authorities have intentionally and forcefully dragged the Baloch women to strengthen their scheme for collective intention to downtrod the Baloch national order. Baloch women are not only forcibly disappeared but their families are threatened to stay silent from making public appearances concerning their issue. It is wrong and must be ratified.

However, the reported cases of Mahjabeen and Nasreena, being the victims of enforced disappearances by the hands of the state’s law enforcement agencies, portray a larger portion of women victimisation in means including unlawful detentions.

This day is a stark reminder to us to never stop our active participation in campaigning for the human rights protection of our people here in Balochistan. We need to think and rectify the mistakes we have ignored for years to collectively, organizationally and systematically campaign against such human rights infringements in general, of the women in particular.

Waheed Baloch, son of Balach, was born in Khuzdar Balochistan. He opened his eyes in a world where his nation was already colonised and suffering from the colonial oppression. He got his early education in his hometown and completed matriculation.

He was very young when he got himself social with literary and political circles. He participated students politics in his matriculation period and he joined the vanguard of Baloch students, the Baloch Students Organisation Azad (BSO Azad). On this platform, he seriously engaged himself with national cause, he got national consciousness by studying and getting the knowledge through the ideological lens.

At this young age where students mostly study their academic subjects but he couldn’t make himself rely on just academic studies, rather he knew the real education and got knowledge on the platform of mother organisation, BSO Azad. He was threatened constantly by the colonial Pakistani security agencies to withdraw from the national cause but he never feared from those colonial authorities.

In response of his peaceful political activities and active member of the organisation, he was targeted. On August 8, 2011, Waheed was forcibly abducted from Khuzdar by colonial Pakistani intelligence personnels. Following two months of enforced disappearance and severe torture, his mutilated body, alongside of Ghulam Ullah Baloch, was discovered in Khuzdar on October 9, 2011. His body bore extensive marks of physical abuse.

He was a minor student, but colonial Pakistani state feels threatened by such conscious and critical students. As the colonial states existence are rooted in lies and they shackle by truth. The same factor applies in colonised Balochistan. Numerous student activists who are aware and conscious are targeted, same happened in Khuzdar, where students were targeted to suppress Baloch students politics. The colonial Pakistani state launched various extremists groups to counter the Baloch national struggle, as the state cannot do itself.

The young cadre of the organisation, Waheed Baloch was targeted and killed in these brutal atrocities. In his young age, he sacrificed his live for the motherland which will be remembered till the last Baloch living in Balochistan. BSO Azad pays glorious tribute to the young fallen comrade. His legacy and sacrifice will lead us towards the destruction of colonialism and complete liberation of Balochistan.

کچھ دن قبل اخبار میں بیان تھا کہ حال میں ترقی پانے والے لیفٹیننٹ جنرلز اور میجر جنرلز کی اکثریت داڑھی والوں کی ہے، یہ بیان دیکھ کر فوراً میرے ذہن میں آیا کہ پاکستانی جنرلوں کی طرح یہودی مذہبی پیشوا بھی داڑھی رکھتے ہیں، سارے جنرل داڑھی رکھ لیں لیکن یہ صرف داڑھی رکھنے سے کبھی بھی علماء حق میں شامل نہیں ہو سکتے، نصیرالدین شاہ کا ایک فلمی ڈائیلاگ ہے کہ دین میں داڑھی ہے داڑھی میں دین نہیں،
یہ جہاں بھی مصیبت میں پھنس جاتے ہیں مذہب کو درمیان میں لاکر داڑھی دکھا کر سادہ لوگوں کو بےوقوف بناتے ہیں اور پھر نعرہ تکبیر اللہ اکبر کا نعرہ لگا کر مساجد پر بمباری کرتے ہیں،
ایک دو ماہ قبل کھڈکوچہ میں مسجد پر بمباری ہوئی تھی، ایسی کئی مثالیں ہیں، عام آبادیوں پر حملے ہوتے ہیں جن میں خواتیں اور شیرخوار بچے شہید ہوتے ہیں جواب میں جب خواتین میدان میں آتی ہیں تو دشمن کے لوگ روایات روایات کھیلنا شروع کرتے ہیں، بلوچ روایات کی باتیں وہ کرتے ہیں جن کے ٹارچر سیلوں میں سینکڑوں بلوچ خواتیں، کم عمر لڑکیاں اور چھوٹے بچے قید ہیں، آج انکو بلوچ قوم سے بھی زیادہ بلوچ روایات کی فکر ہے، بلوچ قوم کی تاریخ کا اگر ہم مطالعہ کریں تو ہمیں مزاحمت کے میدان میں کئی بلوچ خواتین کے نام نظر آئیں گے، اگر اسلامی تاریخ کا مطالعہ کریں تو وہاں بھی کئی خواتین نظر آئیں گے جنھوں نے ظلم کے خلاف مزاحمت/جنگ کی ہے،
پاکستانی اداروں کے ہمدرد شور مچاتے ہیں کہ جی لڑکوں کو برین واش کیا جاتا ہے، سارے پاکستانی دلار پریشان ہیں کہ جی لڑکوں کو جنگ میں اتارا جارہا ہے، جب شیرخوار بچوں کو آپ شہید کرتے ہیں تو لڑکوں کے پاس دوسرا کیا آپشن ہے؟ پھر یہ اپنی مرضی سے میدانِ جنگ کا انتخاب کرتے ہیں، کیونکہ انھوں نے ریاستی جبر کی انتہا دیکھی ہے، ایسے میں بلوچ قوم کو دوسرا کوئی راستہ نظر نہیں آرہا ہے اور ریاستی دلاروں کے پاس صرف سوشل میڈیا میں منفی پروپیگنڈہ کرنا رہ گیا ہے،
سوشل میڈیا کا استعمال بلوچ قوم کو ہوشیاری سے کرنا چاہئے کیونکہ کئی ایسے لوگ ملیں گے جو بظاہر اپنے آپ کو بلوچ قوم کا ہمدرد کہیں گے مگر درمیان میں کوئی نہ کوئی ایسا موضوع ضرور چھیڑیں گے جس سے بلوچ قومی تحریک کو نقصان ہو، بہت سے سادہ لوگ 24 گھنٹے بیٹھ کر ایسے نفسیاتی اور ذہنی مریضوں سے کمنٹ بازی کرتے ہیں جن سے دشمن کا کام آسان ہو رہا ہوتا ہے، کیونکہ ایسے لوگ خوش ہوتے ہیں کہ کوئی انکے پوسٹ کو شیئر کرے یا کسی پوسٹ پر کمنٹ کرے اس سے اسکی پوسٹ دیگر لوگ دیکھتے ہیں، ایسے لوگوں سے بحث بازی کی بجائے ان کو میوٹ کریں، ان سے بحث ہرگز نہ کریں، فضول بحث کی بجائے زیادہ مطالعہ کریں، آج بلوچ قوم کا جین زی تعلیم کے میدان میں بہت آگے ہے، ہر موضوع پہ مطالعہ کرتا ہے، اسلام ہو یا دیگر مذاہب، سوشلزم ہو یا کوئی دوسرا نظریہ ہماری قوم میں ہر موضوع پر پڑھنے والے لوگ ملیں گے جو بیک وقت کئی موضوعات پر بحث کر سکتے ہیں، بڑے عالم بھی آپ کو ملیں گے، سیکیولر بھی ملیں گے، ایسے میں منفی ذہنیت کے لوگوں سے منفی موضوعات پر الجھنے کی بجائے مثبت ذہنیت کے لوگوں سے کچھ سیکھ کر اپنے وقت کا فائدہ اٹھائیں، دشمن کا ایک بندہ سوشل میڈیا پر کسی منفی موضوع پر ایک پوسٹ کرتا ہے تو ہمارے ایکس کے افلاطون فوراً فلسفی بن جاتے ہیں اور آپس میں لڑنا شروع کرتے ہیں، اسکی پوسٹ بددعا کے ساتھ شئیر بھی کرتے ہیں، اس پر کمنٹ کرتے ہیں، اور جس نے آگ لگائی ہوتی ہے وہ آرام سے تماشہ دیکھتا ہے اور دشمن کا پوسٹ ہمارے لوگوں کی وجہ سے شئیر ہوتا ہےاور پوری قوم تک پہنچتا ہے جو دشمن کا اصل مقصد ہوتا ہے،
