@RealHum68746153@liangshikai1990 The 40,000 tonne Ivan Rogov helicopter carrier is almost finished with another one on the way. Russia has also built a massive number of corvettes, 5 14 thousand tonne Yasen class submarines 8 24 thousand tonne Borei class submarines as well.
@cornu__copia@teortaxesTex Barely anyone lives in the British countryside, it’s tiny in land area and much of the wealth comes from wealthy commuters and retirees trying to escape Yookay. Sure British agri is highly productive but that’s not what sustains the model villages.
@da_han_kou it works really well in third world countries where none of this can be taken for granted. Westerners are wealthier and jaded and need something more than material comfort (for now at least.)
@rulesofchinese There’s a lot of sleaze in Thailand, one of the most spiritually corrupt places in the world, but apparently a lot of Asian elephants don’t have proper tusks.
@BeijingDai Also, Turks would rather associate with central Asian Turks than Arabs who would form the majority of the population of a restored Ottoman Empire
@BeijingDai The Ottoman Empire was officially multicultural, with Balkan soldiers and bureaucrats, Greek, Armenian and Jewish merchants and Persian artists. Turkish Anatolia was hollowed out demographically and economically by Ottoman rule. Turkey even fought the ottomans for independence.
