@Dog_FF You think JK is the best player on the team? Because that’s who he played while Coleman was on IR, despite RJ being exponentially better. If you think Harvey is worse than Coleman, you are in the far far far delusional minority.
@Dog_FF 2 years? He took a more significant role after week 10 when JK got injured, and we are in week 7 of his 2nd season. Also, RJ has consistently played better than JK. The decision not to “overtake” him is Sean Payton. RJ should have replaced JK weeks ago.
@TheStevenNelson@KnightedNate@UCFSports When assessing the portion of “game clock running” this is a pre-snap assessment. Was the clock running prior to the snap? It not, no 10 second runoff. I know it seems like rocket science… it’s not.
@TheStevenNelson@KnightedNate@UCFSports The first sentence of section a - prior to getting to the list of qualifying penalties. That section has to be met. Game clock running AND within the 2 minute timeout. If you do not meet both of those requirements, the categories don’t matter. Reading comprehension friend.
@TheStevenNelson@dvdmrrs2@KnightedNate@UCFSports Steve, you have the internet brother. It’s not hard to figure this out. The 10 second runoff does not apply in situations where the clock is stopped prior to the snap. There is literal precedence all over the NCAA for this exact scenario.
@TheStevenNelson@dvdmrrs2@KnightedNate@UCFSports You’re correct that the clock normally starts on the snap when it was stopped. But for the intentional grounding / 10 second runoff rule, the status that matters is whether the clock was already running before the snap.
@dvdmrrs2@TheStevenNelson@KnightedNate@UCFSports Wrong. It’s a penalty, yes. But, the 10-second runoff for intentional grounding is only inside the final minute of a half, AND only if the clock is running (Rule 3-4-4). NCAA handbook.
@TheStevenNelson@KnightedNate@UCFSports Even if the officials had correctly called the first-down spike as intentional grounding, there would not have been a 10-second runoff. Where do you get that from? The clock was stopped on 1st down - therefore there is no 10 second runoff.
@TheStevenNelson@KnightedNate@UCFSports Even if that were the case, they had 15 seconds on the clock at that point, so they still would have had another FG attempt.
@856jc@RespectMyCos He’s not the only issue, sure. But the other backs outperform him in pretty much every touch even with all the other issues in place. I don’t dislike Dobbins, we just need to play our best players and Dobbins isn’t it this season.
@Dog_FF Massive is a strong word with such small sample sizes. Yes Coleman looked really good against the Cardinals, but realistically SP has neglected both of them because of Dobbins. Their college careers show them much closer - with Coleman having more receptions, Harvey more YPC.
@856jc@RespectMyCos Dobbins has plenty of touches through the first 6 weeks and didnt produce. So this isn’t a touches issues. He looks nothing like last year and this is a production business. The better players need to play. Every snap he plays he takes away from the younger backs.
