@BYUinsider Serious question: the last few games how many times have you been asking the defense to do something because the offense went into neutral. I have. Yes the defense looked bad, missed tackles and assignments. The offense gets off to a hot start and then drops into neutral.
@ByrdsTheWord__@ByuSome@BIGKLDS@grok Nope. Read what I said. Remove the football aspect and see if it is offensive. Put some random who lost his job, kid, wife and tell me it is offensive. Oh and it really is just Ute fans finding it offensive.
@ByrdsTheWord__@ByuSome@BIGKLDS@grok If you just read the quote without BYU in any of the text, picture or player, would you still think it's about football or someone having a bad day looking for strength and understanding?
@BYUSportsNation Coach calls the plays, players are supposed to make the plays. Too many players over running or missing tackles. Looked like the players didn't have a clue how to tackle. Could there been a better game plan, I guess. Could the offense stop punting and actually try, yes.
@BYUSportsNation I feel like every game I am waiting for the defense to bail out the sluggish, clock chewing offense. We don't have the horses to be a sluggish, clock chewing offense until LJ gets back. Why not push it down the field? Why 3 rushes up the gut?
@HoboJ_ If you watched what he said last week, he almost called out the offense. I think it's the BYU scores on 1st drive and then didn't do anything until about 3 minutes left in 2nd qtr. 3 and outs are draining on a defense especially since it seemed like when trying the O could score
@Latterdaytruth Then I let him call.
Him: hi, I have your son in the back seat of my car, you want to say hi to him?
Me: uh, hi mom, I'm ok.
Him: he is a good kid.
He said some other things and that was that.
At home the phone rings,
MP: Elder Morris, were you abducted today?
@Latterdaytruth If you all think that's bad, back in the 2000 I had an investigator want to call my parents and tell them how good I was doing. I wasn't so sure, but my companion was fine with it. We were in the car riding home after he took us out to dinner and he used the speaker phone.
@NQpilot@Latterdaytruth My parents came to pick me up. They just toured my previous areas and met up with me at the departure meeting. Then we flew home together.
@WMR2024@TobyTucson So a player kneeling after a touchdown, pointing to the heavens or crossing themselves shouldn't be allowed? Kid was just reminding us and himself that in the path of struggles there is light at the end.
@BrocA96@TobyTucson@headbenchwarmer Without a picture or knowing he is a football player this quote would come off as someone just having a bad day and looking for the light that follows.
@ceebeeparker@TobyTucson Delete the picture, not know the man and this quote has absolutely nothing to do with football and everything to do with going through a rough time and looking for the light.
@LDSGroypa@EchoW4rrior I am trying to stretch with you, but I ain't that flexible. Words alone could you tie that quote to football? If it wasn't a football player could you tie that to football? If it wasn't a BYU player could you tie that to football?
@ByuSome Sure the defense fell apart from the second quarter on, but Arod did nothing until UCF had the lead. This isn't a slow down power run team. The backs we have get tackled by a whisper of wind, they are good on the outside, but trying to run up the middle time after time? Nope
@parker_andorasu They looked good in the first. Meanwhile the offense decided to take a break after the 1st series. I called it. Every game is the same with this offense. And yes the defense suddenly couldn't do a thing sometime in the 2nd
