@1Password @XboxQwik Sorry, maybe bad wording on my part? I was *recommending* 1Password (which has a “secret key” that acts like a local key file) over LastPass (which does not have an equivalent). If Mike could not use 1Password for some reason, I was recommending KeePass.

@XboxQwik @1Password If your threat model includes anyone obtaining your master password (otherwise, why change it?) I would only use a password manager that has a “key file” not stored in the cloud on the same servers as all your passwords. That rules out LastPass. If not 1Password, maybe KeePass?
