Hey Alex! Passkeys aren’t supported in the initial release of 1Password for Agents, so passkey-only accounts can’t currently be used through the integration. Passkeys present unique challenges for personal agents, particularly around verifying user presence during sign-in. We intend to support them and are taking a thoughtful approach with input from the FIDO Alliance on best practices.
Today we announce 1Password for Agents platform, building with companies @Muse, SpaceX Super Intelligence Grok @Bot, @AnthropicAI’s @Claudeai, @OpenAI, @TownAI, @Browserbase, @Browser_use, @heydana_ai, Instinct, @usekernel, @Perplexity_ai, @tryramp, @Tomo, and @wajo_ai, with more integrations on the way. 🎉
We've heard from so many of our customers who want to use these new personal AI agents to help them get more done, but want more control over what the agent can access with the same trust and ease of use they get when using 1Password directly.
1Password for Agents gives your agents access without giving up your passwords. When an agent reaches a sign-in form, it requests a credential from your vault. If you approve the request, 1Password directly auto-fills the credential in the destination site so the agent can’t see or take possession of the credentials.
The agent gets the task done, but it doesn’t get your passwords..
You stay in control. 1Password for Agents free and optional for personal and family accounts. Unless you opt-in to an agent connector, agents cannot touch your vault.

@ashnichrist Hi Ashni! Using 1Password with Grok doesn’t give the AI agent your passwords. You approve which logins it can use, and the integration lets the agent sign in without seeing the passwords themselves.
1Password is launching a way for AI agents to sign in without seeing your passwords. You approve the login, then 1Password fills it in.
Muse and Grok Bot support is rolling out, with ChatGPT Dots and Claude Duet coming soon.
Grok Bot can now use your 1Password account.
Approve the logins you want to share, and your Bot signs in for you. This new integration is rolling out to users over the next few days.
the bottleneck for what AI agents can accomplish on the web is shifting from model capabilities to access
KERNEL + 1Password lets your agent securely log in to the websites you use, without ever exposing your credentials to the model
KERNEL now supports @1password for agents. your agent can sign in without ever seeing your password.
it asks for the login it needs. you approve the request in 1password. the password goes straight into the KERNEL browser and never to the agent.
We're excited to bring 1Password directly into @Muse for the many people who already use it. It gives you another secure way to let Muse sign in and keep working: you approve each login and your passwords stay in your vault. Rolling out across all platforms over the coming days.
Browser Use Cloud can now sign in autonomously with native 1password integration 👀
> approve the login once
> 1password handles the rest
