My year in solitary confinement has not broken me. My peaceful fight for Baloch rights in Pakistan goes on
I’ve reflected on why our peaceful protests are treated as a threat, when nonviolent political engagement is the very foundation of a democratic society. Resistance is often the path to justice, and such movements should not be suppressed. When a state turns its power against human rights groups and peaceful political actors, it reveals not strength, but weakness.
Our peaceful resistance has allowed the message to reach far and wide. People of conscience are aware of atrocities in Balochistan, yet greater global attention is needed to end the genocide.

On this #InternationalWomensDay, I stand in solidarity with women across the world who are fighting against oppression and struggling for justice, identity, dignity, and freedom—the freedom to live in peace, to speak without fear, and to be treated as equals.
From Balochistan to every corner of the world, our voices will not be silenced, and our struggles will not be ignored. Baloch women, in particular, will continue to rise against oppression. The courageous mothers, sisters, daughters, and wives of Baloch missing persons are fearlessly leading the fight against enforced disappearances, custodial killings, and the right to live with dignity. not only in Balochistan but across the globe. I firmly believe that Baloch Women unwavering determination will one day help eradicate enforced disappearances everywhere. And they will not stop until justice is served.
Let’s bear this in mind: March 8 is not just a day of recognition! it is a call to action! Every day must be a day for women, for their right to resist systemic discrimination, to break free from social and political oppression, and to shape a world where equality is not a privilege, but a fundamental right.
I remain confident that Baloch women will triumph in their pursuit of justice. I call upon all humanitarians and advocates of truth and justice worldwide to stand in solidarity with them in their fight against tyranny and oppression.
My deepest tribute to all women, especially the powerful and fearless Baloch women, whose commitment and courage light the path toward freedom.

Mahrang Baloch was placed on a security list the day after being named to the TIME100 Next, for her work defending minority rights.
Now Pakistan is barring her from traveling to New York https://t.co/9f5cFE3qu7
From the last few days, there has been a significant amount of criticism regarding our stance on the violence against unarmed civilians in Balochistan. From the day one, my position has been very clear: we are peaceful activists committed to non-violence. Both BYC and I strongly oppose any form of violence, regardless of ethnicity, race, political, or religious affiliation. The solution to Balochistan conundrum lies in the rule of law, which those in power don’t want because chaos strengthens their grip on power.
Greta Thunberg has expressed support for Balochistan, and more specifically for Baloch women who are opposing “the Baloch genocide”.
“The right to resist state repression is a fundamental human right,” says the young climate activist.
Solidarity with @BalochYakjehtiC and others who are opposing state oppression. The Pakistani government must end the crackdown against the peaceful gathering organised by Baloch women against the Baloch genocide by blocking roads, raiding houses, and abducting organisers. The reports from #Gwadar are extremely concerning. The right to resist state repression is a fundamental human right.
All forcibly disappeared organisers and others must be released.

Honouring Saba Dashtyari, the Baloch intellectual and philosopher who transformed Balochi literature and founded the Syed Hashmi Reference Library. He became victim of the state’s “kill and dump” policy, but his contributions to the Baloch struggle leave a lasting legacy that the Baloch Nation must continue to uphold.
On behalf of forcibly disappeared people and their Families , I spoke at the World Expression Forum, informing a vibrant Norwegian and international audience about the massive rights abuses in Balochistan. I spoke about increasing cases of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings.
I am deeply grateful to @PEN_Norway, Utøya Island, and #WEXFO for inviting me to this international forum to shed light on oppression my people have been facing for decades without their voices being heard.
I am also thankful to the participants from 44 countries and the new friends I've made who stood with me and extended their support to our cause. I’m grateful to @nhc_no for inviting me to their dinner and introducing me to new people.

The fencing of Gwadar city is a troubling attempt to displace and dispossess its indigenous people. Despite an initial 2020 effort, Baloch community resistance halted the work. These coercive measures not only risk alienating communities but also raise concerns of planned demographic changes, potentially converting Baloch into minorities in their own land.

The so-called megaproject #CPEC has thus far failed to benefit the Baloch nation. The fencing of Gwadar city has raised concerns that CPEC intends to marginalize the local population, fostering fear and insecurity. It has only deepened divisions and further oppressed the community, with natives now feeling confined to a mere security zone. #StopFencingGwadar
The fencing of Gwadar represents the oppression faced by its local people. It serves as a colonial tool, perpetuating fear and deprivation in the name of security.Join @BalochYakjehtiC social media campaign.

Our children are growing up in a very hopeless and helpless situation and they are suffering. The disappearance of one family member is a collective punishment for the entire family.

Today at the 55th session of UN's Human Rights Council, I urged international community to take a stand for Balochistan. The human rights abuses in Balochistan need to be investigated, and the perpetrators need to be held accountable. A UN fact-finding mission can independently assess and understand the situation in Balochistan.
