Still waiting for a reply. What were the weather conditions on that say. Gatwick should know by now. I cannot see any valid reasons for some companies deciding to cancel flights with so called weather excuse.Many thanks

@JoeCessnaPilot @easyJet Hi Joe. As a pilot, I understand airspace. I checked. Flights in or out of french airports are reduced by 30% today. No info on Flyover. Cancelations for airstrike means no compensation. Did the french order a reduction or did the company reduce to save on waiting time costs.

@JoeCessnaPilot @easyJet Thanks. The minimum capacity is 30% less flights on French airports. And flying into french airspace will be more difficult to get the slots. But on what grounds does an airline decide to cancel a flight rather then bear the burden of longer waits. John ex Moony pilot.

@easyJet Easyjet has cancelled at 12:30 the flight 8484 form GWA to GVA on Sunday 18th at 20:30 although the fights one hour and two hours before that were not cancelled. Reason invoked: severe weather. Ho: no snow and no wind. But of course...no compensation. Any better reason?

@easyJet French strike directly affect french airports but not flights from abroad just flying over. On what criteria do you decide to cancel 1 flight on 4 from GVA? Is it random?
Or do the french authorities oblige you to cancel a certain quota? Thanks for an honest reply

@Gatwick_Airport It is also by curiosity. Was there any weather problem on the 18th. Too much snow..too much wind..heavy thunderstorm...martian vessels falling on the tarmac.
Or was the weather perfectly normal as it really seems to have been. Thanks for confirming
