Besides that's why comic book characters are grouped into separate levels. You cant expect a street level character to be heavily tied to a cosmic level event

@WrongHappiness @Tox715 @GermanStrands I don't remember if the dlcs for the first game were free or not so just get the collectors edition, American Nightmare doesn't have any. If you have the collectors edition for Control it should come with the dlcs so you're good. AW2 is only available on Epic Games for PC

Quantum Break is not confirmed to be fully canon but there are connections to it so play that if you want or just watch a summary.

@WrongHappiness @Tox715 @GermanStrands Cuz they're all connected so there probably will be references, past events being mentioned and maybe even returning characters, so to get the full experience I'd recommend going through Alan Wake, then Control, then Alan Wake 2.

Dragons Rising as a whole is structured quite differently from the original series and the focus jumps from one character to another, resulting in a more balanced character development for everyone, not just one singular person.
