Check out Leckie and Leckie N5 books on Amazon - some of the electronic versions are free at the moment! So if you've picked your subjects for S4/5/6 have a look and see what you can get 📚👍
This and @HumzaYousaf’s next tweet will be of particular interest to our S2s, who have been looking at the Holocaust and contemporary Islamophobia in recent months.
Also notable that ‘blasphemy’ is being removed as an offence.
Introduced Hate Crime Bill today. It consolidates existing hate crime, creates an additional age aggravator, as well as solidifying existing protections for minority groups. Alongside this, we will set up a working group to look at a standalone offence of misogynistic harassment.
The Scottish Justice Minister is tweeting his first week of #Ramadan fasting - an insight into the challenges #Muslims face fasting in the longer days, AND in pandemic times.
So not sure who if anyone will find this remotely interesting but thought I'd video diary the first day of Ramadan in lockdown.
Here's my first video at 2.35am, with my weetbix and honey - the suhoor (pre-fast meal) of champions!
Well done @GlasgowMosque this is a great initiative. Normally during Ramadan, thousands of people would be fed at the Mosque over the course of Ramadan, many asylum seekers, international students & the vulnerable. Pleased to see they will continue this just in a different format
Phenomenal support from Scottish universities for RMPS and Philosophy as rigorous, valuable and sought after academic subjects. Many thanks to @Bearsden_RMPS for putting this together.
Welcome back to (online!) school, everyone! We hope you are all well, and that the break has been good.
If you have not yet done so, please check in on the Team for your year to find out about updates and work.
“the Holy Fire is a whole other level of faith” - Orthodox #Christians in #Jerusalem celebrate #Easter, though very differently this year because of the #Coronavirus.
Orthodox Christians have been marking the Holy Fire ceremony that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus in the same way for centuries — until yesterday.

First Minister @NicolaSturgeon has wished everyone a happy and peaceful Easter, and thanked everyone in Scotland for making the effort to follow the important advice to spend this #EasterAtHome.
Whether celebrating this day for its original meaning, or just for the chocolate, we wish all our pupils a Happy Easter!
S1s looked at #Easter traditions around the world a little while ago. They’ll be very different this year with the #pandemic! https://t.co/lrcPgmGuB0

This year S3s were looking at medical ethics, incl. how society balances the well-being of some with the well-being of all.
This is a simple way (with 1/4 million others just now) to help the well-being of all at the moment (and we’re hoping you’re all keeping safe & well…).
The COVID Symptom Tracker is an app, approved by Scotland’s top clinicians, designed to study the symptoms of #coronavirus and track how it spreads.
We need as many people as possible to take part including people who are feeling well.

Lastly, our National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher pupils have worked SO hard at providing appropriate evidence needed for the SQA - we so immensely proud of you all, coping with a difficult and uncertain period! 7/7
And on that note, this is for you all: https://t.co/qYBSDmEHwZ
As Term 3 draws to an unusual close, we wanted to thank all our pupils and colleagues for all their kindness and support throughout the term, and especially in the last few difficult weeks, when teaching moved online. Undaunted, our pupils have worked SO hard! 1/7

Our S4's have continued looking at "The Power of Words", moving on to look at the power of sung words. We looked at songs about war and peace, and the ways in which music can influence and shape decisions. 6/7 https://t.co/cQhM2n0oWI
