How exactly are we supposed to industrialize Kenya with electricity costs like this?
EPRA has added KSh22.31 per unit in just five months:
May: KSh4.40
June: KSh3.87
July: KSh5.18
August: KSh4.70
September: KSh4.16
Compare that with our neighbours.
Tanzania: TZS292 per kWh for general users, roughly KSh 14.5 per unit. Cost for industrial users is even cheaper.
Ethiopia: about KSh2.45 per kWh (this is subsidized but still).
And Kenya has increased its cost by KSh22.31 in FIVE MONTHS ONLY. The increased cost is more than the cost of electricity for our neighbours.
Then they stand on podiums and talk about industrialization.
With what power? At what cost?
Factories need electricity. Manufacturing needs electricity.
Ama the best this 'leadership' can offer ni kazi ya mjengo?
Why are you lying @TrevorOmbija?
What an insult to media ethics and on top of that intentionally trying to cause tribal division is so damn harmful and irresponsible.
Your apology mustn't be on private calls, it must be louder than your lies and to the Nyakach people.
Oburu flies all the way to the UK for a medical check-up, only to return home and tell the people of Nyanza to vote for Ruto because “SHA is working.” Politics can be very interesting. 😂
My win in Benin was not recognised, Ps Elijah Mwangi made a commitment to reimburse on all my self sponsored events including Singapore, Benin & Egypt. To date none of them has been reimbursed despite formal following up. The federation has not yet channelled the funds 4 months later. I have missed 3 international competitions despite being assured the support. We applied for paraguay funding in july
This is a constitutional coup against the TSC.
Article 237 gives the independent Teachers Service Commission exclusive power to appoint teachers, not @StateHouseKenya, not the Speaker, not Members of Parliament & political brokers.
@HonWetangula’s admission that letters now come from @StateHouseKenya is an open confession of executive capture. It turns jobs into patronage, locks out qualified graduates, and reduces @TSC_KE to a rubber stamp.
Hoarding and dishing out these letters through MPs is institutionalised corruption.
@TSC_KE
HE @PR_Diomaye of Senegal became President at 44. 2027 @edwinsifuna will be 45. True the opposition must democratically choose one presidential candidate. But you mean SIFUNA, BABA’s reincarnation, shielded by a BABU Nairobi governor, cannot lift a Sword, Bible & Constitution?
The problem with Ruto is, he is too theoretical...Ruto doesn't appreciate realism, instead he groups people who massages his ego.
I don't get why he is so proud of 32M SHA registration when it is only 5M remitting, (15%),out of which about 4M are "Forced" by being in formal employment.
Active members In informal sector.. those who contribute willingly are 437,000.
Since he has been comparing to the "Defunct " NHIF
NHIF had 16M registered and 7M actively remitting this is 44% .. see the difference or just smell the variation.
Informal sector for NHIF was 700,000, that is a whooping 38% decline. Ask yourself why Kenyans willingly embraced NHIF more than they are SHA?
Next Linda Mama, aside from the annual marathons we didn't have to skip watching Maria to watch Uhuru tell us how Linda mama was working. You needed to just visit a facility as soon as you are trapped by men and yeeey! .You wouldn't be forced to join NHIF, they'd register you on Linda Mama and everything else flows.
I would want to dwell on Linda Mama because it gave me all my 4 children but that is a story for another day.
Linda mama was so effective that it needed not drums beaten, the common Mwananchi felt it's impact far and wide.
Should I also remind you the Edu Afya?
The president should let us watch Maria in peace, when a system is working, you don't need 3hrs explaining to the same people using the said system.
