@AngryBoilerFan Well it appears I was right. We have a 8 game sample size. TKR can’t play the 4 next to Edey successfully. TKR is a mess. Colvin is a great shooter but struggles on defense immensely. I said, being long and athletic doesn’t = great defender. Hope he gets there. I’m a huge fan.

@AngryBoilerFan Paint played him at the 5 in every game so far with no Edey on floor. Europe, he was the 5. Arkansas he started at the 4 and played mostly at the 5 while edey was in foul trouble. Edey came in the game TKR went out. So the data shows he’s painters preferred 5 backup. 🤷🏻‍♂️ sorry.

@AngryBoilerFan never said Loyer was a great defender. But Colvin isn’t either at this point. Being athletic doesn’t = great defender. Ivey was always the most athletic player in every game. He had poor defense. Smith, Loyer, Colvin, Catchings, TKR. That’s the most likely starting 5 imo

@AngryBoilerFan Painter said he was wrong only trying to play him behind Edey because he was too good of a scorer to only get limited minutes. Not that he was wrong playing him at the 5. TKR will 100% be the 5 until Berg or the new centers show they can hold their own.

@AngryBoilerFan TKR is a better post player then Furst. Which is why you saw him play the 5 during the Arkansas game. TKR is likely the 5 next year.

Purdue was picked to finish at best 5th in the big10 And started the season unranked. No seniors and starting two freshman guards. IU less talented “on paper” ?!!?

They were picked to finish 1st in the big ten and started the season as a top 15 team. Returned every starter and added 2 5* freshman. Purdue lost 60% of their scoring from the previous year
