This might sound weird to say, but I'm glad that I have great social skills and I'm good with people.
There are people out there who are introverts and are scared of strangers, have social anxiety, don't know how to not come across as weird, don't know how to carry on a conversation, etc.
You need social skills for EVERYTHING.
Work, business, networking, travel, leisure, hobbies, and, most importantly, dating.
Most girls I meet with say that they feel a certain "chemistry" with me.
(But that's because I just let them yap and unlock out of them the stuff they've always wanted to say but didn't have the outlet/environment to.)
When you have social skills, people are just more comfortable around you.
People feel happier, people feel at ease, people laugh, and people remember you.
And you'll be able to get what you want out of them 9 times out of 10.
Nowadays whenever I go to meetups, people ask for my number first.
Hell some American chick asked for my number yesterday ("to practice Spanish," sure) and invited me to a party this weekend.
You just gotta make people feel a certain way, be interesting, but also make them feel good.
While I don't compliment girls on their looks, I do compliment girls on other things.
There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with that -- don't be a braindead PUA operating with fixed rigid rules saying that you should never compliment a girl and conversely should neg them all the time.
As long as the compliment is genuine and specific, it will work.
Bonus points if it's something that barely anyone has noticed about them, let alone complimented them on, but something they nonetheless take pride in.

They will remember how you made them feel."

I asked a Paisa InDriver here in Medellin what she thought about the narco culture. She said she LOVES it, especially Escobar & Don Berna. She loved their style, their "elegancia." Ofc, she said she didn't like the violence, but also accepted it. The hybristophilia is real ๐
@MDE_Unmapped Yes, in my building all girls must show ID, get their photo taken by the doorman, and--this is most important--they cannot leave alone. I must escort them down. This protocol should exist in every building.
Story vs Narrative:
Story is a CLOSED LOOP with a clear beginning, middle, & end. Narrative is an OPEN LOOP, an abstract shared belief. People have stories about narratives, i.e. The American Dream is a narrative that contains many immigrant success stories.

The importance of Story:
"All memory is tied to a strong emotion & that emotion is also tied to a story...Try to think of a memory without telling me a story or an emotion. Probably not possible"

@BowTiedColombia After reading this, I asked one of my Paisa buddies here in Medellin if this is true. He confirmed by telling me a GREAT story about when he used to deliver for Rappi a few years ago. I might share the story in the future.
"When you are developing a slogan that describes what you offer, make it concrete. But when you are developing a slogan designed to give people guidance on how to act, keep it vague."

@TellYourSonThis A mind that is too open has nothing in it to keep it anchored to clear thought, no foundation onto which to develop accurate perceptions.
@claudinecassar I just bought this book today. I have been glued to it. Very impressed with how well-researched it is. Thank you for your excellent work!
I will certainly leave a review once I'm finished.

I admit I've never thought of Alex or Codie in such a negative manner. Definitely something to investigate further.
If you're lost, the answer is education.
If you're educated, the answer is execution.
If you're executing, the answer is persistence.
If you're persisting, the answer is experimentation.
I know a gringo (a Russian from the USA), who speaks nearly perfect Paisa Spanish. It's really bizarre & jarring at first when you see & hear it. He's been living in MDE for several years now. He said when he first arrived in MDE he knew NOTHING about Spanish, so he just imitated the locals.
He compares his Spanish to a Japanese person speaking with a Cockney accent in England.
@AdamLaneSmith This is an example of what Nassim Taleb calls the barbell strategy. He said you should only read books with lots of (both) 5-star and 1-star reviews. Be suspicious of books with lukewarm reviews. That always stuck with me
