@alexanderrX_ They dont even have to leave the country, just the labour market. Early retirers, part time hours, sabbaticals are all lovely for the individuals concerned, but not for the economy nor tax receipts. Our government is massively incentivising all these things

@geophilos I think you overestimate the benefits of having to financially cripple myself to live in my flat above a nail bar in Fulham. Maybe those in cheaper houses should pay more council tax, as they've actually got money left over after housing costs!

@real1314 @Rekt57v @rcolvile The claimant, benefits are a form of income, so if income is to be taxed (as society has deemed fit) so should benefits. And the tax element would be treated the same as all income taxes
