Since there will no longer be manufacturing costs, shipping/distribution costs, and other similar logistics, surely the price of games will drop accordingly, right?
Huge anti-consumer play. Others will follow suit.
Sony is currently charging $70 for God of War Ragnarok digitally. It is $32 at Wal-Mart. The game is 4 years old.
People will no longer have options after 2028 and will HAVE to go directly to Sony’s digital storefront and pay whatever PlayStation says.
Blizzard wants to appeal to younger players, I get it. They want the game to last and bring in younger generations. They’re focusing on more cozy vibes, the writing is friendly and safe. Family and friendship overcome evil. But you know what? It’s terrible and genuinely sucks.
I'll be honest, this is one of the reasons i will always ride with Smash JT. My own personal belief is that 99% of creators big enough to start recieving game keys are compromised. Sorry - don't trust you.
It's the reason most creators start off super based and then slowly devolve into bland, corpo mouthpieces. Their takes become severly measured to not lose existing followers, but also to appease the corpos that hand out these codes & sponsorships like hot cakes.
These are just my feelings. I don't really have much to back it up, but i respect the hell out of Smash for that.
Stay Based.
Dear Microsoft, when I hit the Windows Start menu key and start typing a word to autocomplete a search, I never, ever, EVER want it to return results of something not on my computer. Ever. Like, ever, ever, never.
