“I can’t marry a man that knows how to cook because that’s what I bring to the table
I even pray he doesn’t know how to turn on the gas cooker 😭”
— Hilda Baci
If you can understand this and why it’s extremely unkind on the lady’s part, you should also be able to understand why the “cooking” discourse sends a lot of women into a rage here.
Sometimes it’s not the cooking itself. It’s the situation surrounding it. It’s about people making it your duty. It’s about not having a say in whether you want to cook or not. It’s about cooking for someone who doesn’t appreciate you. It’s about being expected to serve regardless of the state you are in.
It’s the entitlement
“I am supporting Tinubu because he has roots in Osun State” 🤡🤡🤡
- You are not supporting him because he’s doing an amazing job
- You are not supporting him because he’s transforming Nigeria
Nikos living, your papa no smart.
One of my friends had concluded a conversation with his friend in the UK. He was going to stay with them for a month before moving to his own space.
Baba left Nigeria. Landed in the UK and went to this guy's house. As they were barely seated to exchange pleasantries, his wife noticed that slightly dark patch on some muslims' forehead. She called her husband to the kitchen. In about 5 minutes, they both walk out.
The guy told him, "Sorry, my wife says you can't stay."
My own guy had to start calling people to find him a place. Luckily, he found a place.
Anyway, until you're in these sorts of positions, you'll think it's cute.
Keep having friends who don't have balls. Keep making important plans with them.
You will learn.
@politiki_ng@Nnamdi______@novieverest Very convenient that only the APC understand the law of changes, that's why they can change the national anthem in less than a week
I never expected to face kidney failure and a suspended account at the same time. Every day is a struggle to manage treatment, stay hopeful, and move forward despite these obstacles. Your support and reposts mean more than words can express.

Four years later, nothing's changed. The same systematic disenfranchisement. INEC actually needs to be taught a brutal lesson. They can't keep toying with our collective lives like this
Most times, when you hear "we decided" from a Nigerian couple, na the wife make the decision.
If na the man decision, the woman no go ever talk "we decided."
@politiki_ng@Nnamdi______@novieverest If it was what he wanted he'd have done that first 6 months.
But no, e wait till 2026 so he'll use it as an agenda. If he wins bill don cancel.
But I no expect you to understand sha

See how Nigeria's politics is at the moment.
Set high standards for Peter Obi and set no standards for Tinubu and Atiku.
If Peter Obi does not beat the high standards set for him, then he is not better than Tinubu and Atiku.
Then all politicians are the same.
Crazy way of thinking.
"Electricity is a democratic dividend we owe every Nigerian. We intend to deliver it"
Says someone that spends billions to run inverter for aso rock 😂😂
🫀 Kidney failure has left me fighting for my health every day. With dialysis treatments and rising medical costs, I urgently need support. Please donate or share if you're able. 🙏

Three years later, we can see that the monkeys that snatched the car key from the owner are still unable to drive it. The car is still where the owner left it.
