Without understanding the historical context in which our predecessors took decisions and actions, who are we to sit in our armchairs and, with hindsight, pass judgement.
I read that IH likes to keep a player up field to collect the clearance from corners. There's a strong case to be made that that player should be Harry Smith. But seriously, if I have to choose between losing to a last-minute OG or a penalty shoot-out I say thank you Harry.
@jiff1967 I can describe the referee's performance yesterday by saying he eventually arrived at the correct destination having gone six times around the Colchester and Swindon magic roundabouts in the wrong direction. Seldom do so many mistakes end in a fair result. #stfc
@thetowntalkpod Supporters may sometimes differ in their opinions. But my guess is that #stfc supporters unanimously hope to send Colchester back to Essex with egg on their faces and tails between their legs. Quite frankly we owe them a big number in their goals against column.
@ashleykpieterse@GoodBadRugby I guess the kicker must make the call on the position. But to take a win or bust drop under pressure was not the lowest risk option imho.
@IamMzilikazi My motto had always been to believe half I see and nothing I hear. That has now been updated by adding - believe nothing on social media.
@RugbyInsideLine No protest from the kicker. Imagine some other teams being in that position. Some would have complained, some would have threatened to sue world rugby. Fair play to France, they knew it was a legitimate charge down.
