NEW INTERVIEW: Black October! What Is Happening to the Internet?
Is AI turning the entire internet into a dark forest? Security experts @hrkrshnn and @odysseas_eth join @TrustlessState to unpack Black October, why AI-powered hacking is becoming cheaper and more scalable, how defenders are falling behind, and what it means for your crypto and personal data.

NEWS: Uniswap has launched Aggregator Hooks, letting v4 route trades through outside liquidity sources like Curve, Fluid and PancakeSwap.
Hooks are live on Ethereum, Base and Robinhood Chain.
Swaps routed through them pay protocol fees that BURN $UNI.
Incredibly informative conversation with @hrkrshnn and @odysseas_eth
My takeaways:
- Without intervention, data on the internet becomes a free-for-all. The cost to exploit vulnerabilities to access personal data is/has dropped to 0.
- As a result, companies will do 1 of 3 things:
-- 1. Increase security spend so that defensive spend>offensive spend
-- 2. Offload data security responsibilities to 3rd party companies who do it as a service
-- 3. Simply delete the data that they don't want the responsibility of securing.
- Is crypto safe? For the most part, yes, because the economic incentive to protect crypto-assets has been very high for a long time. Coinbase/Fireblocks et are under constant barrage of attempted hackings all the time. Still, continued cyber defense investment is a MUST. Crypto is a head of the curve, but the curve is advancing anyay
- Holy f this is so bullish $VVV. So many companies will want to mimimize their data footprints while also will need to be doing AI inference. Venice sells this as a product.
- Holy f this is so bullish $ZEC. Everyone's data, financial or otherwise, will likely be stolen from the companies that store it. Privacy is so fucking in. Traceable blockchains that can be linked to exposed identities (i.e. Ledger data breach) are so out. The worst case scenario is that everyones personal info is out in the wild, and this includes all your finances and assets. Zcash hides this again. zillions
There's been a resurgence of coins that I'm labeling '2017-era Bitcoin clones'
$PRL +30% this week, $4.2b FDV
$QTC + 300% this month, $1.8b @ 21m supply
Kind of interesting that 21m hardcapped supply tokens are commanding multi-billion dollar vals
I'm going live on @Bankless tomorrow with @odysseas_eth and @hrkrshnn to figure out WTF is going on?
How bad is this?
Is it going to get worse?
What happens next?
Is crypto safe?
Is crypto ahead of the curve?
Truly the worlds greatest questions

NEWS: Ethereum consensus researchers have proposed Decoupled Consensus, a draft EIP that would replace Ethereum's Gasper consensus design and split validator voting into two separate jobs.
A committee of ~512 validators sampled each slot would vote on the chain head, while the full validator set votes on finality in its own rounds.
The goals are at least 4x faster finality, tougher reorg defenses, and a cleaner path to post-quantum signatures.
EF researcher Barnabé Monnot expects it in the I* upgrade, early 2028.
NEWS: Aerodrome and Velodrome have merged into @aeroxyz, one DEX now live on seven chains including Base.
$VELO converts at 0.044 $AERO, giving Velodrome's side 5.5% of the merged supply.
Weekly ve-votes are gone, with emissions now capped against each pool's projected revenue.
NEWS: Pump(dot)fun replaced Relay with its in-house Pump Bridge for crosschain trades in its app.
In its own randomized test, Pump claims buys landed in 1.95s vs. 3.88s on Relay, with errors falling from 11.2% to 0.9%.

NEWS: $ZEC still sitting in Zcash's original Sprout pool has about two weeks to move before the NU7 upgrade freezes it.
NU7 is set for mainnet block 3,543,405, expected around Nov. 5th, per Zakura, the full node project led by Zcash cofounder Sean Bowe.
The upgrade retires the v4 transaction format Sprout depends on, and the spec warns Sprout spending "may never be reenabled."
NU7 also brings 25 second blocks.
NEWS: 0xbow has launched Privacy Pools v2, adding private payments, yield, and swaps across seven networks including Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Base.
Shielded funds can now pay any EVM address privately, earn Aave yield inside the pool, and swap across tokens and chains via https://t.co/8To768KWtC.
Deposits still need approval from 0xbow's screening service, albeit with no KYC or viewing key.
The Ethereum Foundation's Kohaku wallet-privacy initiative is also notably integrating it.
NEW REPORT: Is Crypto Ready for Its Next Leg Up?
Fear has returned to crypto, but the next rally may be closer than it looks. @JustDeauIt and @RyanSAdams break down Bitcoin’s resilience amid a sharp altcoin selloff, the holder rotation driving its consolidation, and why seller exhaustion could set up the next move. They also discuss the $87K breakout level, mounting stress in AI debt markets, Bitcoin’s divergence from the Nasdaq, and whether quality altcoins are becoming attractive again.
