Promote private banks. Dump all 'high effort and low revenue' work with PSBs. Then reduce them to five or six. Then target one by one. Simple! Isn't it.

Since 2014, Govt has granted 23 banking licences to new (Private players),

2-universal banking licences
11-payments banks licences
10-small finance banks.

Its still unclear that if Govt is ready to open market for new players, why Privatize exist PSBs???

Quite simple to understand, majority of the secured lenders are PSBs. For unsecured creditor, well this is how professionally foreign creditors operate.
