On this day 39 yrs ago, Terry Fox began his Marathon of Hope in St. John’s, Newfoundland. He ran the equivalent of a full marathon every day for 143 days until his cancer spread and ended his life. A hero to Canadians he helped raise $ for research, cures & hope for us all
