The text for A for Andromeda book is being edited and vetted. Soon, it will be ready for your judgement. The Andromeda Breakthrough does not receive the SMP treatment on the grounds you can watch it, and in my judgement, there isn't as much to write about. 1/2

As Albert Steptoe bemoans the fact that his new telly boasts only a 21 inch screen, Sutekh’s time tunnel takes us into the age of colour tv to the psychedelic strains of The Moody Blues....

Production stills from Story Parade - The Caves of Steel (tx 5th June 1964). Starring Peter Cushing and John Carson, it was adapted by Terry Nation from the novel by Isaac Asimov. 1/2.
In remembrance of celebrated actor Edward Woodward (born OTD 1930), seen here in one of his regrettably lost television performances - playing Auguste Dupin in a 1968 BBC adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s ‘The Murders in the Rue Morgue’.

Celebrating Peter Cushing, born OTD 1913 .
An extraordinary legacy & a body of work exemplifying absolute diligence & a drive for precision.
Even in the tantalising fragments we have of otherwise ‘lost’ performances, he’s still thoroughly engaging.
OTD 1970 - ‘Survival Code’, the much lauded closing instalment of the first season of ‘Doomwatch’.
A finely crafted script by series creators Kit Pedler & Gerry Davis which, judging by the surviving clip, was superbly realised by director Hugh David.
