Following the schedule voted by Angle Governance, the stEUR rate has been updated to 7.96% 📐

🤔How come?
Angle earns a revenue on its assets, notably from people borrowing agEUR and yield-bearing RWAs in its reserves.

Not all agEUR are eligible to this revenue: rather you need to stake your agEUR for stEUR to earn a share of it.

If the protocol earns 1.8% of interest revenue for every agEUR in circulation, and 50% of agEUR are staked, then it could distribute up to 3.6% to all agEUR stakers.

Right now, with 21.5% of all agEUR staked, an estimated interest revenue of the protocol of €314.6k and 90% of the interest revenue directed to stEUR holders, the stEUR rate becomes 7.96%!

🤔 When will it next be updated?
Either in 7 days, if the rate from the scheduled voted by governance deviates by 0.5% from the current rate, or if the rate is so high that the protocol actually distributes more than what it earns.

Next week we're launching stEUR, a Euro staking solution powered notably by the RWAs @AngleProtocol protocol has in the reserves behind agEUR.

Initial yield is set to be 4%. What's really cool about this is that Angle Exposure to RWAs is so far less than its equity: we control €6.5m worth of yield bearing assets for a €6.7m equity for agEUR.

The approach taken by the Angle DAO for this product has been so far super risk averse when it could have been far far more aggressive given how Transmuter is designed to support large scale redemptions.

@BackedFi products could for some reason be worth 0 and the protocol would still have enough collateral to handle all agEUR claims.

agEUR RWA backing could, in absolute terms, automatically increase through the Transmuter dynamic fees.
And upon launch, it's going to be about safely ramping up this exposure, in relative terms, managing liquidity risk while increasing the Return over Assets of the protocol
