As always such an interesting session in Strasbourg, for going forward in rheum and #SLE ! #Winterschool2022 organized by @Lupusreference, thanks for sharing your experience !
I used to hate clinics because...
1. I finish completing charts at night.
2. I spend hours and hours calling patients back
3. I can't find time to do research work.
4. I'm too tired to write at 10pm

"Les internes gagnent 6 euros de l’heure, 70% dépassent le plafond hebdomadaire légal de 48 heures. Coût de leur formation : 104 000 euros. Chiffrage du travail qu’ils apportent : 121 000 euros. Ils sont les seuls étudiants en France à rapporter de l’argent à l’Etat" @OuzouliasP
#Lupus patients are presumed to be more hospitalized than general population, but how high is this risk ? Which cause lead them to hospital? Now you can warn your #SLE patients

Thanks @AliDuarteMD for supervising this thesis project at @MayoClinic
Surely the worst involvement in #lupus: lupus nephritis. With @HocaogluMd and @AliDuarteMD, we showed that patients with #lupusnephritis are by 6-times more at risk of death.

In @TheLancetRheum, Dr. McDermott co-authored this paper with @jeffsparks led by Dr. Figueroa-Parra (@DrGabrielFP) that found that all rheumatoid arthritis patients, especially those with interstitial lung disease, have an increased risk of severe COVID-19 https://t.co/WQ2yZvZHDf
What an interesting question, about COVID19 vaccine uptake among SLE patients: do they protect themselves ? 🤔 Thanks @AliDuarteMD and @DrGabrielFP for this work 🙌
